I disagree. When You Love A Woman was the only grammy nominated song Journey has ever written and received quite a bit of radio airplay. Also, if what you said was actually true, then you wouldn't be hearing them playing stuff like Edge of the Blade or Chain Reaction...which are not present on the GH albums.....
Just because WYLAW was nominated for a Grammy doesn't mean people remember it. It's no longer played on the radio. I think Journey isn't playing TBF for several reasons:
-no "hits"
-Neal supposedly doesn't like it
-not "rock" enough
I know TBF has rockers but at least EOTB came from a legendary album. They might as well play something from Arrival if TBF is justifiable.
And how many times do you hear Chain Reaction played on the radio? Zero! For the record, I have actually heard WYLAW played on the radio recently...albeit not only a daily schedule, but it has been played nevertheless. I would definitely put WYLAW in the hit list, simply for the fact that an AOR band during the mid to late 90's era having anything recognized by MTV and the grammies is a huge accomplishment. Besides, I'm sure there is more than you'd think who know the song that would purchase a ticket to see Journey live.
Anyways, Neal supposedly not liking TBF is an opinion...I haven't read anywhere where Neal said he doesn't like the album. If there is something out there, please correct me and post it, but I don't believe that is fact. Finally, as far as not having enough rockers...I would not call ROR being chalked full of rockers either. Maybe the title track and BGTYS...but for them not to play songs off a certain record because the record doesn't have alot of rockers on it would contradict them playing I'll Be Alright Without You or Be Good To Yourself.
