I don't claim to know the reason why Perry does not give Andrew interview,( that's for Perry to say, if he chooses), and you certainly don't have "any evidence" to SHOW that statement above has ever been said by Perry.

Of course Perry isn't going to say that. He knows what an asshole he would come off as if he did. Drew thinks that's the reason, and it makes the most sense. I can't remember, but one of Perry's people may have said that to Andrew. Maybe someone here remembers. 13? TNC? Dean? 28?

I'm sure Perry gets probaly tons of calls for interviews, and with his celebrity status he can choose to do an interview with whoever he wants to or NOT to.... that DOESN'T make him an asshole.

And NIG you say, "Drew thinks that's the reason", so that is purely just 'Drew speculating" in his own mind, not actually hearing that from Perry himself, so again , NO proof that was ever stated by Perry or his people.

By the way, Perry has done interviews with Uncle Joe, and I know that Uncle Joe holds interviews with the current Journey too, so that being said, that doesn't make sense that, THAT would be the reason why Drew hasn't gotten an interview with Perry.

Oh Yea, I remember this thread froma long time ago. I didn't accuse Drew of anything, but I did DEFEND my post that was "non threatening". Drew responded rudely for NO reason to me at all, so I SPECULATED that maybe it was the "attitude of this board towards Perry" that MIGHT be the reason that Drew has not been given an interview. That makes more sense to me anyway, NOT for the reason Drew THINKS it is.

I hate to have to say this but boy reading that thread was like reading a lot of recent threads here just w/the names of Journey lead singers changed. Interesting. U would never know now that some of the people who so vehemently hate SA now once loved him & thought he'd filled Perry's "big shoes" so well. Wow. That was an eye opener.

I read the entire thread, since it was posted last year. I came across this juicy tidbit by Deano:

Someone in the Perry camp told Andrew that Steve wouldn't give him an interview because of his support for the band after it "moved on" without him. I remember him posting that and I believe it. I do think however that the attitude of the board played a huge part in Steve's maintaining that stance. I haven't gone back and read the thread that TNC referred to so I don't know if it's the thread I'm remembering, but I do remember a time when Andrew agreed with me on this board about that. The things we say do get to all of these people that we're talking about and it does effect how they feel about all of us.

Kind of like a relationship, would you feel all warm and fuzzy for your ex's new gf/bf/new singer, not likely........the next one....maybe? Besides, at least JSS and SP are friendly and Perry likes his talent enough to go out and buy his cd himself. I could see Perry possibly joining JSS in a song sometime more than I could ever see him joining SA. Just a thought.

Actually, it was identified early on that I was a continuing supporter of Journey and I was TOLD BY PERRY MANAGEMENT that he would not give me an interview for that reason.

Yep...better believe it...because I was seen to be promoting the new line up of the band back as far as 1997 I was told Perry would not do any interview with me.

Says a lot I think, but I continue to request an interview every year and continue to be denied each time.

Like I said, IF it was true that was the reason that Perry won't do an interview with Drew because of him supporting the current Journey , Then he wouldn't have done "other interviewers" such as with, Uncle Joe that have also supported the current line up too.
