I'm glad to see the topics are still as lively and libelous as ever.

I guess you really haven't missed me much if at all!

I don't know about that, Amanda. Rich is the king of asinine statements. Rich is the only guy I've ever seen so desperate to be a mod that he had to start his own Journey forum to give himself the title of "Chief cook and bottle washer". I've never seen such an antagonistic person, harrass so many people and then attempt to hide behind the "forum rules" and the "official site" and all the other BS Rich spews! He is probably the only person I can tolerate less from that site than the wiggle weirdos!

In all my years on that site, he's one of the few I've seen who managed to get into an argument with anyone and everyone on that site, at one point or another! He's sort of Monker with FAR less intelligence. I think Monker is a major pain in the ass, but, you know what...Monker at least has some good points from time to time! I've yet to see Rich make one single cogent point on either site! I have to believe that even most of the moderators on that site are tired of his act, but because he sleeps with his "rulebook" every night, they have no choice but to keep the head jackass in place over at Jackass Central!

But John, how do you really feel??

The truth, Monker was BT's Dean, or Joe Reardon, until he put his tail between his legs and left because he couldn't control the show. When will you stop shedding tears over your own BT demise?

No....you don't like Monker because he's smarter than you Rich.....plain and simple.

Actually, I have nothing against Monker and I agree that he is highly intelligent. He simply keeps mentioning my name, as do you and others, when I'm not even around.

The truth is I rarely comment here because of the unrelenting attacks against my personal character. What matters, though is that I know who I am and that I am a decent person, as I have no doubt you are also. I support this band and all of it's members, with equal passion and yes, I sometimes belabor points. I have a strong personality and understand how I can come off as abrasive sometimes. For that I apologize and I can only promise to try to be better.

On the other hand, I think there are many personalities on here much like mine, Monker included and we can all use a little retuning of our attitudes towards others. The Nancy comments and other more vulgar and personal attacks are totally over the line and unnecessary. I can deal with an honest, thought out critique of my thoughts and opinions and I would hope others can accept mine.

Seems much more than not, however, some of us feel free to dish it out, but are absolutely unwilling to receive as well as they give.

Rich...

I take back what I said about you having never made one single, cogent point. This is a very well thought out post by you, and actually makes sense. Listen...I get the whole "strong personality" thing, as I've been afflicted with that condition my entire life. I also have zero issue with you, or anyone else being passionate about a band we all love. I don't even have a problem with two intelligent adults agreeing to disagree. Lord knows that you and I had many battles over 6 years over at BT and probably never agreed on anything, and I'm okay with that. I think at the end of the day, it's unrealistic to think everyone on this (or any other) forum are going to always get along. We all come from very different worlds, with very different personalities, and very different opinions.

My only hope is that this website doesn't turn into "Wiggle Central" anytime soon. I certainly don't agree with the tone of every posting on this website, but, at least people here talk about some things that actually have to do with the music of Journey and are free to actually express an opinion without having every thread locked! I think as long as we stay away from the "Let's all hold hands and sing we are the world" threads, life is good :)

I don't think there's much "wiggle room" here.

Okay that was a bad pun...
