Not trying to bash you Melissa, but remember in this "what if" scenario this is the first Journey album and it came out in 2005 so you have only other past and present bands of this genre (ie Styx, REO, etc) to compare it with.

Neal, Jon, and Ross do not have voices to be singing lead on anything, let alone anything with the name "Journey" on it! These guys play instruments for a reason! Leave the singing to people who actually have singing ability! I've heard better vocals in karaoke bars, over the years! To address your Deen question...I'm very okay with Deen singing lead on anything. He's proven he is a VERY competent vocalist.

I understand what you mean, even though I haven't really listened too well to the songs with those 3 singing, just Deen's songs, I love his voice.
My husband, brother, & father all play guitar, all played in bands too, but NONE of them sing, lol. They all 3 will be the first to say they suck at singing, lol. Saw a bunch of my brother's shows & he would kinda scream into the mic a little with the singer when the singer would come over & put the mic in his face, but that was it, lol.
