Looks like N. Cal will get some more Journey love in January.
http://www.arf.net/About_ARF/Events/arf_rocks.html
Neil, John and Jeff will be at the ARF ROCKS show in Walnut Creek along with Ronnie Montrose and Casey & Lovehammers.

Since seeing the guys on tour with Def Leppard I might make a run at this show. I would love to record Soto and the gang again and it looks like this could be my chance.

Are you going to share your recording or hoard it?

that would be a great show and it's a great cause, to boot. (pardon the pun)

Tony LaRussa does a great job getting together funds for (his) this organization, and I know he & Friga are good friends.

Hoard?? You must be mistaking me for a U2 recorder.

The cause and the show(s) that Tony and Friga has put on over the years have been top notch!

I got a kick out of the "careful" wording: "with Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain from Journey and friend Jeff Scott Soto, "

Ugh, I want to go too! We actually both have off that day (cop, nurse, we don't have normal schedules, lol), & my good friend Lynn could go with me (Lynn- I know you're reading this, freak, lol). If I had a clue about that area might consider it! But being CA I'm sure everything is outrageously $$$. But damn, wouldn't it be fun?

The nearest major airport is Oakland, then San Francisco. :D

Cool.. all I need now is a plane ticket, a concert ticket, a hotel room, spending money, rental car, and a box of porn movies for my husband to watch to divert his attention while I'm gone. ;)

Probably a 20min drive from Oakland (given the proper traffic conditions). Walnut Creek is a very nice little town though. Great Restaurants. 8)

Thanks for the info SF & CR! I have family in CA, but not near there I'm pretty sure, they're in Granada Hills, Santa Monica, Castaic (sp?), Bakersfield.

I'm used to traffic, traffic here sucks major ass. I work 25 miles from home, takes over an hour to get there!

Thank you!! :)
Have to think about it I guess, lol.

Hope you get to go, I'm going to pass on this one. It's too short of notice and the holidays will have me broke anyway. :)
