Hard to tell by a video, but it seem's the crew screwed up at that show. Nothing seem's amped enough...Neal's guitar, the bass, drums, anything. The mikes cut out on the background vocals...Ross is singing but you dont hear it. Smitty's cymbols are sliding around. Cool vid, though, thanks for posting! :)

thanks for posting that, deb. it wasn't their best sounding performance, but i remember it was soooo exciting being a teenager, sitting in the third row of the warfield theatre, watching my favorite band play a new song!

It is a different camera angle than what I have in my video collection. 8)

Also, that was Jon Cain's first show with Journey after he joined. :D

Very cool, Cyndy. On the boot I have they played 'Where Were You' too......did they just play the 2 songs or did they do more? LOL, ya I'm asking ya to go waaaaaaaay back here. That performance of that song has to be one of the one and only times I wasn't happy with Steve's voice. The "my, my, my, baby" near the end of that clip almost hurt, especially compared to some of the other great versions of that song out there.

I like the raw sound too Larry, especially Perry's vocals, but I don't like his vocals at the very end of that clip. The "my my my my baby" sounds like he was reaching too high/far IMO.

LMAO.....here is one with no fluff and effects Larry.

VERY cool vid. Must have been right after Cain joined, or during the E5C4P3 tour?

Very very cool Shania, thank you. Did you happen to notice on WCN that Neal looked like he was going to sing and then bit his lip? I would love to know if he ever did come in at the wrong place on stage and what Perry did to him!
