Why should he? No one else does. Most of these threads are notorious for going in circles.

When I first joined this forum, I wasnt too happy about some things Deano said and did, but you know, Its all about how you take it.
He say things alot of things here and there , but does he always mean it to come across that way!? I dont think so I think he likes the way he can express himself . if you dont like anything he sayd and dont agree with it, just ignore it.Simple!

At first when I joined here I blamed Andrew for the excessive freedom he had given some people here,, but the more I read the different posts here, the more I liked this forum, simply BECAUSE of the FREEDOM.

Andrew trusts our judgements here, but sometimes he just has to step in and drop a hint so we behave. Compared to many other forums, I think we're all doing a great job, considering we dont have any full time "babysitters" and that we should be PROUD OF....

As I said I think the best way to deal with things you dont like is to ignore it (unless you can argue it with repect in a mature manor)

So really no different than your dying wish to pervert Journey into a Flamenco Bar Mitzvah band; with Esteban on guitar and Jon and Ross supplanted by those greasy leering wetbacks from Macarena.

If you truly want Deano to cease being a constant subject, stop discussing him and go partake in one of your favorite pastimes.
Say, like, simulating anal intercourse with a spent Brawney roll, or daydreaming of fellating each rosey-cheeked member of Menudo.

Just playing devil's advocate here but.... it seems to me what you're describing isn't freedom. It's anarchy. If you followed that argument the tiniest degree further, you could say that if you found someone stealing, the best way to deal with it is to ignore them and let them get on with it. Take it a degree further, and maybe the best way to deal with a murderer or a paedophile is to let them get on with. A bit extreme I know (at least I hope) but the point is where do you draw the line? To me, freedom isn't the right to be disrespectful and abusive or to ignore somebody else who is. Freedom is the freedom to speak up against those activities (or verbal behaviour). But very often, those who do speak up get shouted down.

Maybe this place isn't as free as people think it is. That's no disrespect to Andrew who does a great job here - it's just the nature of messageboards the world over.

If you weren't so blinded by your own self-indulgency to craft wisecracks regarding the Latin rhythm thing (which you seem to be unable to let go) you'd possibly be able to see that it's not a matter of Deano being a constant subject.

Figure it out.

BTW the wisecracks were pretty funny.

Chill out my friend ,,,, after all its a freakin FORUM,,,, you can not possibly be serious when you compare this forums freedom we have to ANARCHY as you say and comparing arguements here to stealing and murdering cases.

What I mean with the freedom here is that, unlike some other forums ;) the threads get closed left and right because people say something that the moderators dont agree with, even if within the guidelines of the forum.

What Im suggesting is just to try to get along with eachother,,, That shouldnt be that hard! And YOU dont have to worry about when and who draws the lines here,,, thats ANDREW'S job! He works hard enough, but he's damned if he doesn and he's damned if he doesnt! One thing is for sure, he can not keep EVERY single one of us 100% happy and satisfied!

Maybe this place isn't as free as people think it is. That's no disrespect to Andrew who does a great job here - it's just the nature of messageboards the world over.

So according to you Andrew is doing a great job, yet not doing his job because he dosent know when to draw the line ?? Hmm ... ALso What makes this forum great is it doesnt have to have the same nature of messageborards around the world.
I know you like to post at BT as well,, so couldnt you go over there when you need the dominance and restriction of your freedom and use this one to express your thoughts and opinions!?:)

That encapsulates my thoughts, too.

Life is too short - that's right. It's too short so why sit there and BLAST and BERATE other people in HATEFUL ways?

OR

You can respond and speak up about the things that you don't like.

Andrew has said it many times: "This is YOUR site - make of it what you will."

I'm not denying you freedom to make it what you want so don't try to deny me. It's a matter of respect. Maybe if you don't like it then you should leave.

As I said, I was playing devil's advocate. And what I was suggesting was that the much vaunted freedom of speech isn't an absolute. It comes with responsibility, and should be self governing. Andrew tries to allow that here - not always successfully, but that's not his fault.

I'm chilled. :D

If you had paid attention to my entire posts maybe you would have gathered as much as I LIKE this place,,,, and I dont like people like you bitchin and complainin and normaly its easy to ignore the likes of you. I have learned to ignore people like you in real life, let alone here on an online message board. But once in a while I do respond, not that I give a damn about what YOU think, but rather to clarify what you didnt understand from my post.

Requesting that people not be threatened or personally insulted is "bitchin and complainin" ...?

You know my point...

Just never understood yours.
Since NO ONE has latched on to your little Latin Dream,
you seem to have absolutely NOTHING to add to any conversation
except to whine and moan about Dean or me or all the other Big
Meanies that seem to hurt everyone else's feelings...

You'd be better off keeping your nose in the Dr. Suess books
for a few weeks...

Either way, its ironic you used the term "predictable" in your
response to Lula. You are the King of Predictability.
But you really make me laugh so I'll be waiting for your
awesome, psuedo-intelligent response reprimanding me...

No but having an input in every freakin conversation to make sure you get the last word, thats bitching,,,,,
Your true intention are not about what you claim to request NOW,,, you like to stir things up and you know it!

When I suggest that we should all get along and enjoy our free forum and those who dont can leave, then you turn around and tell me I should leave if I dont like it,, thats bitchin,,,

And dont try to be all innocent,, youve been known to interfere and cause more problems than what exist in more than this thread.
Andrew once told me one line that I stick by no matter ,,,, "Be a part of the solution ,not the problem" .

Andrew. I understand your frustration, I truly do, but please don't ever consider shutting the forum down. There are too many good people here. You kind of like become another family, and can chat with folks all over the world. Just remember, that is what you have given us the ability to do with all your hard work. :)

As always Marty, good thoughts...

This year hs been an exrtremely difficult year for the board and in various places, for some of the bands fanbase.

Once this announcement comes and we can all move forward, there will be a more enforced rule of behaviour here. Up until now it has been hard to keep peoples emotions in check.

Hope it still appears this week. Call me a complete saddo but I sat up til like 2 in the morning Sunday and Monday nights lookin for the update. It's not that I don't still like Steve or anything, just think it's been ages.

Not gonna do that multi-choice thing you suggested... that would be a bit mean considering Dean ain't actually here.

That's probably because most "malt vinegar" here is fake...just regular vinegar with malt flavor added. Search out the real stuff...its more expensive but tastes better.
