I was JUST about to post the same thing :D
You beat me to it!
I bet Aerosmith/MC takes it home, although
I heard, and I'm not a country fan, that the Faith/Tim shows
were incredible. EVERY show they did near a military base,
Faith and Tim had an entire section reserved for troops, with
FREE tix being handed out at the bases...
Being Military myself, its hard not to respect them
for that :)
Welcome to Terminus... You hungry?

I've heard the same thing as well about Tim and Faith's shows.
It's quite commendable that they do that for the troops.

I bet Bon Jovi and Nickelback win. :P

BJ/Nickelback isnt the band I would want to win of course, but considering how well Bon Jovi did this year for touring. He had 2 sold out shows here in Tampa alone without Nickelback with them.

I'm thinking of getting some yearly passes. We didnt get to see even half the park friday.

Yep, we have those passes, lol. It's nice because we can go for just a few hours if we want & not feel like we have to do the marathon all day trying to see everything, lol.

Paid to see Journey/Def Leppard Tim and Faith..

would not pay to see Crow and Mayer... talk about your boring concerts...
Bon Jovi, so 20 years ago... and Aerosmith saw them 2004... NOT THAT IMPRESSED...
For creative purposes.. the Journey Def Leppard tour I think tops it all. Eveyone else is manufactured success... These two bands do it the hard way!!!

i believe that the def\journey combo brought a more diverse group of people at each show than the typical same-o\same-o.
how interesting could the conversations be in bathrooms if the shows consisted of man\wife duo? argue about their
parenting skills? in my opinion, bringing together 2 different styles of rock was a very creative move and a pollstar
moment worth winning! :D

And bringing in Jeff to save the tour should win them the award.

Exactly!! How many of these other bands could have done what Journey and Jeff were able to do under such potentially disastrous circumstances?

I couldnt agree with you more but aren't most of these award type things about popularity? Just thinking Bon Jovi has this one. :?

Yep, me too. Journey/DL deserve it over everyone IMO, but we all know how the "biz" is these days  lol.

Oh- I'm sure it will get ALL of our votes

But Melissa is right- the business is one of "popularity" and placing monies in who's ever palm needs greasing.

Bands like Journey and DL get less respect than Rodney Dangerfield
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, wine and chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "what a ride!"

While Def Leppard and Journey was an interesting combo, *I* think Aerosmith/Motley Crue exemplifies more diversity. THAT was just a crazy, cool combination for a rock tour.
