I just finished watching the Baltimore concert and I must say that Jeff sounded superb, and keep in mind, this is bootleg quality. When I first heard boots of Jeff early on with Journey, I really wasn't impressed, and honestly didn't think he had the voice to sing Journey material. In fact, someone on this site posted a boot of Jeff singing "Separate Ways", where I thought he missed every high note in the song. Sure it was a boot...but so was what I just watched. On the boot I just watched of Jeff singing "Separate Ways", he didn't miss a single note, and actually sounded like Perry (not an easy feat!) hitting the high notes at the end of the song. Perhaps it simply took Jeff some time to get his voice in "Journey mode". Journey's catalog isn't an easy one to sing, and I'm just thoroughly impressed how well he is covering the classics. Another observation is that Deen continues to impress, with his vocals. I don't think Deen is quite at Perry's level on Faitfully, but he's awfully good. I noticed that there appeared to be a professional camera guy there at the Baltimore show shooting video, which I found interesting. Let's hope some of these concerts (Hello Boston...Mansfield!) find their way to DVD. I'd really love to see a professional quality DVD with digital sound from one of these concerts. I suspect these concerts are even better than they come across!

Damn, I can hardly wait. I just hope the rest of the US learns what the Journey fans already know. Jeff with Journey is the best thing to happen to rock music in a very long time.

I made the same observation about Jeff's singing and performance first when I saw him with Yngwie,,, and I was blown away when I seen his Talisman performance 5-6 years later. Thats when his voice had really matured and he had the most powerful voice I had ever heard.
Keep in mind that Jeff didnt have much of rehearsal time with Journey, so the first 10 shows or so were his chance to adapt and adjust his voice for "Journey Mode". I honestly think he can do any song by any artist . Just listen to his cover versions of "Ice cream man" from VH, "Frozen" by Madonna, "Crazy" by Seal ," Carry on my wayward son" by Kansas and the 42-songs from the Queen DVD, including "Innuendo", "Show Must Go On" and "Boheman Rhapsody".

Totally agree.....if ya don't have the Queen 2003 dvd, it's a must have. Got the Gods 2002 dvd first and loved it (to say the man has great stage presence is an understatement)......so I got the Queen dvd and was blown away by especially "My Bestfriend" (excellent!), "Another One Bites the Dust" "Break Free" and "Fat Bottom Girls".......actually he is great on all of them. After watching the 2 hour dvd....forgotten how many great songs Queen had.
