I read Andrew's interview with Deen and let me say this to you Deen ( I hope Neal or Jeff will read this to Deen:)

Deen: You never have to worry about any of us Journey fans here at melodicrock.com! We have nothing but positive things to say about you! Between your vocals and drumming, and Jeff's fronting the band, Journey is back more than what is has ever been even with Steve Perry! I hope that when you guys do tour the US again, that I will have the pleasure of not only seeing you in concert, but hopefully meeting you guys! Deen, YOU are a vital part of Journey! Besides the great Steve Smith, I couldn't picture anybody else drumming for Journey other than you dude!

Sorry if this seems like a love fest...lol! I am just so excited about this band....more so than what I was when SA came to town!

Awwww....sending a hug when I read his interview just now:

"Jeff tells me and Neal tells me, but I don't want to read it. If I see something bad it'll break my heart. It really will, I'm that sensitive.
Neal knows, Neal knows things just hurt me to the bone. Like, the other night we found out that while we were doing Who's Cryin' Now people were actually going out to the concession stands. I was like, 'do you think that was because of me?'"

So...to Deen (or someone tell Deen) -- I've never read anything negative about YOU...everyone loves you & the reviews are always great concerning you (I even was told randomly by a family member that his friends were impressed with "the drummer when he sang" in Fresno a while back.)
And, that was GREAT what you did to the fans backstage - singing to them to prove you were not lip synching  lol!
And, next time people leave for the concession stand think that they may be getting choked up & not wanting to lose it in front of their friends, hmmm? You are a sweetie!

Deen, you are the heart of that band & you are loved by all of us!! If you find yourself with some downtime next year, and want to do a side project consisting of music in the style of King Diamond, but with Journey-flavored vocals, let's get together!!

Deen, I would have loved to been at the show where you had to step out front for Augeri. Nerves or not, I know you nailed it. You are a great drummer and even better singer. Hope to hear a solo cd from you (hint, this next year Journey is off would be a great time). But keep up the great work-ERIC

Hope someone reads this to Deen:

At your first show in the USA in June 2006 at Camden,NJ, u sang Mother-Father...that was the first time I heard u sing and I wasn't expecting it...I had to sit down b/c my legs just went weak...Your voice, that song...well, just made me cry!
Who the hell cries at a concert?? I didn't even know u could sing and to hear u live well, there are no words to describe my feelings...and to drum at the same time....so totally awesome.

AND, I read all the reviews and nowhere did I see one negative word about you, besides all of us here at MR would hunt that person down and well, who knows what we would do!!!!! :D

I read Deen's interview too and one word comes to mind...sweetheart. Deen, just ignore the morons. You're obviously above them...you know it and your fans know it.

Your drumming talent and voice is truly a gift. When you sing, it's like a voice from heaven. It's something that moves me to tears (I mean balling like a baby) and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Sheesh, just typing that gets me choked up. I'm in awe everytime I see you play. I could literally watch you play drums 24/7. That part about the couple thinking you lip-synch...priceless! I know you don't lip-synch, but anytime you want to prove it to me personally...bring it on baby! :D

Love ya!

I wish Deen could come on here and interact with us, but you know what? There would be some asshole who would just have to jump into the thread and say hateful shit to him just to have his/her asshole's moment in the sun. Deen seems to be a very sensitive guy and I would hate to have MR be responsible for hurting his feelings.

I hate to be a downer, but you guys know it would happen.

Now if we could convince him that those people are nonentities and he shouldn't pay any attention to the person behind the bullshit, that might work.

I agree, as soon as they would catch wind that he's here, they'd be here saying nasty things, same way others have done with Jeff.

I wouldn't want Deen to have to put up with that shit since he said it really gets to him. The world needs more men like him!

On the other hand I've loved it here when Jeff comes out swinging to pound those a-holes back in the ground.

I love Jeff's posts too, but I don't think Deen would feel as comfortable with putting the asshole's in their place as Jeff does. I'm hoping that enough fans will get on board and quit the sniping so that all the guys will start interacting with us. :D (Yeah, I know I'm dreaming. At one time I used to snipe at Neal.)

I know, but maybe if we tell Deen there's plenty here who would put the assholes in their place for him, maybe he'd join in? lol

Nah I'm just dreaming too, lol.
