This shit just topped off a relatively bad Christmas though. Think I'll go play my new mandolin and see if I can figure it out. Anybody have the tuning for it??????

Hate to break the news to you 13 and allow any facts to get in the way of your theory...but...Owens has more catches than Glenn...More yards...and Double the amount of TD's that Glenn has this season! I must admit...I never thought I'd ever be in the position of defending TO, because I hate the guy, but...your theory that Glenn is the number one guy simply isn't backed up by any real numbers! I can tell you as someone who watched Glenn in New England for many, many years...He's an enormous UNDERACHIEVER, and has been his entire career!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...you had me until the last sentance... The guy has NOT had an underachieving career. I know in Foxboro, only rings count but outside of dyasty land guys can have terrific years w/ out nec. winning it all.
PS I still think they force him the ball as much as throw to him out of schematics, just to try to maintain peace.

Gotta disagree on Glenn. He's closing in on 600 career catches, which is not exactly small potatoes. He's probably going to go over 1000 yards for the second straight year and 4th time in his career.

Enigma869 wrote:Sorry, but I stand by my comment. First and foremost, the 1000 yard mark in football (for a running back or receiver) is the most overhyped stat I've ever seen in my life!!!! The reality is that a 1000 yard season amounts to a very modest 62.5 yards per game! Nothing impressive about that for a first round pick, who was touted as the second coming of Jerry Rice, when he came out of Ohio State! There are presently (and still one game left!)16 receivers in the NFL with over 1000 yards, including Issac Bruce, who is 105 years old!

You know it's bad when Parcells in NE, asked how Glenn was doing w/ an injury, replied "She's coming along."
