Queen & Jeff..

Postby Melissa » Tue Jan 02, 2007 1:50 am

Caught part of the VH1 Rock Honors again late last night & when Queen came on with Paul Rodgers & did "The Show Must Go On" my first thought was it just didn't sound right, lol. Paul's great don't get me wrong, but I'm so used to how Jeff does Queen now that if it's not Freddie or Jeff, then it's just not right, lol. JMHO :)

Here's Jeff on one of my fav Queen songs:

That's one of the more underrated Queen tunes, in my opinion, and Jeff does a good rendition of it.

I think my fav is the one he did right before that song, "My best friend".......and I have a whole new appreciation for "Dragon Attack". Over all a great dvd. :)

When the VH1 Rock Honors first aired, I kept expecting Jeff to walk out on stage with Queen!! Paul Rodgers is an awesome singer, but just not right for the Queen sound. Jeff would have been the perfect voice for Queen, but then again he does total justice to Journey!!! :D

Yep, underrated for sure. I don't think it was ever released in the U.S., was it?

Never been a Queen fan, like about a cds worth of their songs, and that is it. But Jeff does do a good job.-ERIC

I don't think so.

Now that I think of it, "Sail Away Sweet Sister" from the same album is also highly underrated. They're both stylistically similar also.
