Sure wasn't impressed with Rascal Flatts cover of Tom Cochrane's "Life is a Highway" though.

There were two spots in both that made my ears perk up, but otherwise, I'd say they were legit.

The post-show in LA & New York (Fergie, Ludacris, Meatloaf) was pre-recorded.
So who knows how much post-prod tinkering was done.

I think Dick Clark has improved greatly from last year (more facial emotiveness, better articulation).
You could argue that seeing his debilitated self on your screen has a wet diaper effect, but I think he should be commended.

I enjoyed listening to Christina, but not watching her. She's got a great voice, but looks so "cookie cutter hoochie". I liked Meatloaf too, I didn't pick up on any lipping, but it could well have been doctored before hand.

I thought watching Dick was depressing in a way, but it's good to see him still giving it his best.

Ugh, me too! I kept thinking they were gonna come thru the heat registers in our house! I was subjected to too much horror & scary shows growing up & I cannot watch any at all...they damaged me. My older sister, the babysitter, loved Twilight zone & Movie of the Week...and all, so we had to watch them.
"Magic" was scary but it was also well-acted with a sympathatic Anthony Hopkins so I didn't get too freaked, but I can't stand dummies.
All those scary doll stories, like the girl who had a doll that came alive & they traded places & then the girl stayed as the doll - scary.
