You know, I have a friend from college who owned a business with another guy. Their warehouse was broken into several times over about a month. They got sick of it and waited in there one night with guns. Sure enough, the dumbasses broke in again, so they shot one of the bastards and killed him. Both of their lives were turned upside down for years over the trial and the money they had to pay their lawyers. Should have been an open and shut case. But the lawyers got rich, so that's good, right?

How do you balance that against the fact that people ought to know about it, though?
