Yeah, Billick is one of those. Every year there are less and less Steelers fans in Bmore. Very noticeable in 2006.

There were times they looked embarrassed to be on stage. Almost as if they had to fight to make it through the show. They were robotic, didn't move and hardly ever cracked a smile. If they DIDN'T know, explain why they acted that way? C'mon folks, they knew. Every single one of them.

It was ROR all over again. Neal grins while secretly despising the guts of the frontman right alongside him.
There were so many tell-tale giveaways present during the '05 tour: the near-perfect nightly lead vocals, Augeri's unusual *new* manner of holding the mic, the above-mentioned distant body language by the band.

Those that witnessed a show in the frontrow and came away none the wiser should donate their brains to science.
How do you sputtering flatliners manage the toils of daily life?
Can you?
Or, (as is most likely the case), do you simply lounge in front of your computer, making the rounds to Journey-related forums denying TapeGate, all the while awaiting this month's disability check in the group home mailroom?

Either way, unless you had never previously been to a concert, there is no excuse for the subterranean depths your idiocy reaches.

You would think he would have noticed in soundchecks?????? as well.So lets do this and not tell Neal :? he will never find out

Didn't Andrew's interviews mention that Augeri would get a massage and Deen would do the soundcheck?
Simply put, in 2005, no soundcheck was necessary for Steve Augeri.
The only song 100% without tapes was "Loving Touching Squeezing" and even then, Elson made sure to turn the mix down to a faintly audible hum.

Neal, release the Generations dvd, bring SA back to add some overdubs if need be.
The Genearations material rocks and the band was musically tight.

For ONE song.
And not even for the entiriety of a song, at that.
Furthermore, the person lipping is the song's original vocalist.
The scenarios are not comparable.

By most accounts, Bobby Kimball works his ass off.

Horrible idea.
There is less chemistry to be witnessed on a dvd filmed in '05, then there is even on the 2001 Vegas dvd.
Which is really saying something, considering the band didn't have ANY manifest on-stage rapport by 2001.

Nobody wanted to be on that stage in 2005.
Steve Augeri also has a microphone unaturally affixed to his face throughout.

If I was Neal, not only would I not release this, I would burn the negatives and recite a hail mary.

What I don't get..is why the hell did they even hire Augeri in the first place? By many, their stage appearence together lacked, they seemd less interested in each other and chemistry was at an all time low the last couple years. How, when hiring, can Neal have an instant chemistry with someone to hire them, then all of a sudden lose interest in the first couple years or so. Was it his only resort and a cry for help just to retain Journey? Whatever it is, Augeri had good years with the band, and did his worth up until the lipping. No matter what the case, he knew he was going into the position of always being looked down on, due to the fact he replaced everything Journey had in Steve Perry. Tough situation to live up to, and he did it anyway. Got to have respect for the guy.

Nothing.
screw you.

I just want that dvd.
Most if not all live dvds and albums have overdubs anyhow so what;s the difference?
Oh and one more thing h@kk. When I say it may look good to thow a benign little ball bust my way once in a while, I didn't mean start launching outright SCUDS at me beginning post #2.

I think the audition process was held over a weekend. Not much time to gauge whether creative chemistry exists there or not. OR, you can take Monker's p.o.v. which is the chemistry was there, but nobody wanted to take the time to invest in it, cultivate it, and actually produce a quality product that stood the test of time.

By many, their stage appearence together lacked, they seemd less interested in each other and chemistry was at an all time low the last couple years.

2002 was the high water mark, every subsequent tour was pretty comatose.

No matter what the case, he knew he was going into the position of always being looked down on...

So why give your detractors grist for their respective mills?
Everything the ardent Perryloons wished upon Steve finally came into being in 2005.
Grace is knowing when to leave.

Got to have respect for the guy.

I did...until 2005.
I respect him even in 2004 (and earlier) when sporadic lipping was taking place.
But to lip whole shows?
For any self-respecting vocalist who values their craft, that is an untenable sin.

Sorry Paterno, your wish will never happen.

If it does, it's Blog time, and I mean in the most serious way.

What a horrible idea.

What a mouthful...that's one of the worst parts. I'd definately add "and the band" after "Steve." :(
