Steve Augeri for President??

Postby SunshineTwilight » Thu Mar 08, 2007 7:45 am

WTF???

On my way to the airport to leave for the UK, my husband spotted two bumper stickers on a car. One said 'JOURNEY' and the other said 'Steve Augeri for President'. We just looked at each other and cracked up! :D

That's EXACTLY what we need, a president that lips to backing tapes! LOL

Don't all presidents do some form of "lipping"??

I remember those bumper stickers being offered up at Back Talk. They were made by a fan and given away.
A nice idea...

Augeri is/was that popular over there? I never even heard of him until a year ago after I came back to Journey

If he was such a great singer as some fans seem to believe, why was he working at the gap and not singing with a group or solo or any kind of singing for that matter..
I did see him live( and I use that loosely) 3 times....first time was live and was terrible, second was great b/c it was tapes and the third, he could barely speak..had to leave the stage many times..very sad indeed for him and the fans that paid to see a show...

Because after 1991 the type of music/vocals that Augeri did in Tall Stories was completely ignored. Another new band could've released an album better than Escape in '91-'92, and no one would've ever heard it.

Don't make me pull out the "Steve Perry worked a Turkey Farm" routine...
Using the "Gap" excuse is ridiculous.

I'm with you on this,Dave. The jobs that singers do before they make a career as singers or inbetween gigs has absolutely nothing to do with their vocal talent!
