JSS wrote:Thought I'd say hi, been invisible the last days getting better from this damn virus that nearly destroyed the last few dates of the UK portion. I woke up on the 1st of 2 days off with the feeling I was swallowing razor blades after the show in Bournemouth, I knew I had a smidge of what was going around on the bus but I thought I'd fought it off well enough...fat chance. Started antibiotics that night & even after 2 days of silence & hibernation, I felt the Birmingham show was gonna be a rough & indeed it was. Worries of the following night in London of course, as I had high expectations of knocking this one out of the ballpark...thankfully I woke to a smoother, soothing feeling in my throat & from there it was all about the regiments & warmup.

And HELLO LADY!! Could have quite possibly been the performance of the tour, from all of us!!! The bar was raised by the whole band & with sound firing full guns ablaze, I have never seen a crowd like that at any show in London....besides Queen :)

So, guess I can say I'm back & we're simply unstoppable now, it feels amazing, tonight since we're returning to a city we played our 2nd show at, we're changing quite a few things around. It will be a treat to those who were here the 1st night but more so, I have asked the band (so I NEVER have to read again 'they played nothing from ROR, or Generations, or Arrival, etc.,) that as much as possible & from now on, we do at least 1 song from EVERY (LP) album, Infinity to Generations...this begins tonight!

Hopefully as well I'll have more access in the next days, imagine at our hotel in London, £20 a day for internet, where I'm from that's $40 a day so I can argue with you lot!! Fuck that! :) This place is damn expensive, whetherv you're singing for Journey or U2!

Thanks for stopping by,what a great day to have updates from you after Mr.May put such a big smile on our faces! :)
Many congrats for the London success!

Hopefully you will be able to keep the germs away, streps are just awful for someone who works with the voice like you do.

All this flu talk reminded me of an amazing remedy for those moments when you feel like you "swallowed razor blades".
It's a natural cure tested on me by my late grandmother when I was a kid and I use it to this day with amazing results.
A spoonful of butter in a very hot cup of milk,as hot as you can stand.Tastes like shit  but your throat & chords will feel amazingly soothed.
Drink the "potion" before going to sleep,so it works over night.

Keep in shape for the rest of the tour!

Ok Mr SmartyPants. You know what I meant! With " you guys" I was also including the management! And I was hoping they would listen to you! Cause youve said it few times before(I have it on tape) that you love to perform for the Swedes
Have tons of fun and as Jerry Springer would say : Take care of yourselves,,,, and eachother....

Oops...I wrote "They played nothing from ROR" only last night. Oh well...good idea to feature each album though. So next time...break out Positive Touch, JSS! You know you want to.

Updates & Antibiotics

Postby Tracie555 » Fri Mar 16, 2007 11:39 am

Jeff,

Thanks for always giving us updates on what is going on:) It truly is appreciated!! It is very cool to see you even posting for us, because most lead singers in huge name bands could give a shit about what the fans know, as long as they pay their tickets and buy the albums. So really, a huge THANK YOU for that!

Glad your feeling better!!! Keep the probiotics going after for a while to build back up your immune system:) This season has been bitch so far:(

Take care:)

Quit bitching. You have any idea of what some of us on here pay for internet porn? And we are regular Joe Sixpacks and Sally Housewifes. YOU'RE the lead singer of Fucking Journey!

Hell No. Hell no Jeff doesn't want to play that song and I can sure as all Hell tell you Neal doesn't want to either. Dude, you are awfully fluffy and soft. What's your deal? Is it a Euro thing?

First off, you say "Believe in Me isn't up to Foolish Heart," and now you are advocating Positive Shit, err Touch.

Its 04:15 am, just driven the 175+ miles back from Newcastle after the last of the UK tour leg. Seen 8 shows and the best was saved till last. London was electric, Newcastle buzzing and, having tea (yes tea) with the boss after the show he was really looking forward to the 6 or so European shows.

For those of us who were (me in particular) unfamiliar with Journey's catalogue its been a revelation.

Thanks Neal, Jonathan, Ross, Deen and Jeff for having us along.

Dude, I drink tea! Mainly because I can't stand Coffee, and I'm from a country who's biggest export behind drugs, is coffee. Tea's not so bad. It has a calming effect on you.

this post made more sense, before the post it was to, got zapped.

Thanks Jeff for the update, but sorry to say your thread was hijacked by a couple of self-obessed individuals and has now been closed as it appears the only method of shutting the two of them up.
