Went and saw Gary Schutts band The Untouchables Friday night at the Beach Club here in Sarasota. If your in central Florida you've gotta go see these guys. They do 80's covers and really interact with the crowd, its a great time. Gary told me he's working on material for a new CD that will have his single Love Me For Me on it that's currently being heard and doing great in a couple contests on the net. Please continue voting for him, he keeps moving up and he will get a record deal if he wins, he told me he could then devote his time to getting his album done. I asked the guys to play a couple Journey songs Friday. The crowd had alot of college students ( spring break season has begun in Florida) they loved it! The place went nuts for the Journey songs. They can do the tunes but Friday Gary brought a friend of his up from another band to sing them. His name is Shawn Gregory. He did a great job...very nice voice... and he reached the Steve Perry highs! He told me later how much he respects Perrys talent. I told him I would give him a mention on the board so Journey fans can check them out when in Florida, so like I said, if your in the area go see these guys play ...you'll have a great time! Oh yeah...Gary did an awesome job playing some Van Halen too!
