UNbelievable, his performance on that recording.

 No f'in way. Winds of March/Something to Hide. Jaw dropping.

No...Something to Hide sounds like the vocals of a wimpy girl next to the righteous majesty of Happy To Give.

"Righteous majesty"? Happy to Give can't carry WOM/STH's jock.

Happy To Give tops it, I reckon.

It's tough. Liberty is definitely in SP's best. I'd say HTG is in there, too. They're different songs with different demands. For sheer power and range Liberty is maybe the best. HTG displays controlled power. Very different dynamics and both awesome.

Hey Fyre - are you being so quiet because you think the band sounded a bit crap in that clip and that the Latin Music project is therefore falling short of your expectations? Are you just being polite?

I need to get to the bottom of this mystery. :)

Scary isn't it!

Fyre - I can't believe you are being so discreet and self-effacing at this your moment of triumph! The MR regulars are all enthusing about salsa and so forth. How could have guessed it? :)

I don't know that it's a moment for me. I'm just glad it's a moment for JOURNEY. They deserve accolades. That song is one of their best ever and that performance deserves nothing less than some jumping up and down.

Well, you're a more gracious man than I, Fyre. I'd be lording it up all over the place. :)

Boots always sound a bit crap to me! There are some notes that don't sound right but I think you have to consider that it's a boot.

Despite the quality they flat out jam on that song. It just grooves. It's hypnotic. I could listen to it all night.

I think I have to agree with niggy here - Liberty and Happy To Give are great, but nothing tops Winds Of March. Pure awesomeness.

It's hard to argue. WOM employees both power and control. It's in a league all its own.

Yep!!!

My favorite all time Perry vocal performance has to be from those 1979/80 boots of Patiently going into Opened The Door.

The transition just blows my mind every time I hear it. I know it's gay, but it brings tears to my eyes.
