I remember an interview he did a few years back where P. Prince said that The Tubes were "by far the most talented band" to emerge from the Bay Area in the 70's and 80's, and that Journey was a "big joke" of a band. Let's see...Top 40 songs by the Tubes..."She's a Beauty". Hmmmm...that one draws comparisons to the best of Floyd, Genesis, and Zeppelin. In fact, I hear that Roger Waters tried to set up a lyric writing session with The Tubes when he was completing "The Final Cut", but they dissed him and left him waiting at a Dunkin' Donuts in Needham for four hours.

Incidentally, this has NOTHING to do with April 1st. Seriously.
