"At our age, you don't want to stop. Because if you stop, you might not get back up again."
Alex Van Halen

DUH! BIG FUCING DUH!

Sometimes I wonder if these "rock stars" say these things, because they really believe what they are saying, or just too fucked up when they say them, (drugs, alcohol, etc) or just because they can't keep their mouths shut.
Without ego, we have no pride in what we are saying.

More good ones:

"Everybody in the band went out and bought Harley Davidsons.
Well, everyone except Mick [Mars, guitarist]. We`ll have to get a little sidecar for him."
Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil

"People seem to have this big fantasy that me and my husband should just OD and die.
I'm sorry, but it's just not gonna happen."
Courtney Love, February 1993

“Lady Diana… what a fox. I’d drag my dick through a mile of
broken glass just to jerk off in her shadow.”
Ted Nugent, Hammersmith Odeon, February 1984
(This reminds me of one my friend once said "She's so hot that I would swim through 9 miles of shark infested piss, just to blow the last guy that fucked her")

I think Eddie smashed a guitar when he read this one:

"The old Van Halen, when I was in it, makes you wanna drink, dance and screw.
The new Van Halen encourages you to drink milk, drive a Nissan and have a relationship.”
David Lee Roth

Good "blind" answer:

“He’s an intelligent, well-read guy. But somehow he can’t connect the dots.”
Edward Van Halen on David Lee Roth

This one takes the cake:

“I was in the studio playing the solo at the end of ‘Don’t Stop Believing’, trying to bebop and jazz it a little.
Kevin [Elson, producer] said, ‘Just play the simplest thing you can think of’.
Begrudgingly I played something I thought was so stupid they’d fucking hate it, but everyone said, ‘That’s terrific’.
I fucked myself because it was something I’d hate to listen to for the rest of my career.”

I remember 15 years ago when Yngwie kicked out all his band members ( after breaking some chairs and tables on their backs in Hard Rock Cafe in Stockholm), he was asked by Pär Fontander (Rock Box Radio) "Dont you like the ideas of other members in your band"
His answer was " I sure as hell love to hear what ideas and thoughts they have, but in the end Its my project and my fucking way, so I come with the last world. I like to listen to what people have to say, doesnt mean I fucking agree with it"

Another Yngwie-incident was 10 years ago when Pantera guys where being interviewed after a live show and they ask Yngwie who was going by " Hey Yngwie, You want some donuts". " NO I DONT WANT NO FUCKING DONUTS!" was his classic comment.
Years later, in 2004 when I was waiting in line for his show in Cleveland, I seen him walking to his tour buss after the sound check. So I just yelled out "Hey Yngwie , You want some fucking donuts". Everyone in line started laughing, and I got the meanest look from the meanest guitar player in the world. Let's just say I'm glad he didnt kick my ass !

And the best Yngwie incident was when the band was bein loud on a plane and a female passenger poured water over Yngwie and told him he needs to calm down. Yngwie went on and on " You fuckin C**T"..."I Am going to Kill you"..." YOu fuckin bitch". "You have UNLEASHED THE FUCKING FURY"..."IM GOIN TO FUCKIN KILL YOU".(you can find an audio-clip of the whole thing online)

Ironically , 2005 Yngwie released a cd called "Unleash The Fury"

That's a great one. I always thought he was working on the end solo for Who's Crying Now when this happened, though. I guess I was wrong.

I've got neither time nor ambition to care about the subject. [The] PMRC consists of frustrated housewives who really ought to plant flowers. They are fools. No sensible human being with a normal IQ would accuse someone of beign the Devil"...
