Dallas has 7 prime time games. Seems a little excessive.

Sounds like a couple up-for-grabs-pick-6-the-other-ways for the Birds! :P

You can have the NFL. Boring compared to CFB.

Agreed.
So, according to plan, you're gonna be sporting a sleeker WAZZU jersey this season, right?

College is GREAT, but NFL just something about the atmospher at a Packer game...
When you have been an Iowa State Cyclone fan for 30 odd years and you have had 4 GREAT seasons in which to keep interested into November... that says it all. There tailgating is Borish too, compared to other campuses.

I understand Dean's point about the college game. Wish I had attended a major Division I university so I could have a major rooting interest in a school.

Agreed, but not all NFL is like the Packers. maybe The Chiefs, Pats, Bears and Bills are hardcore like Green Bay. There are also shit teams, more so than not, like Arizona, Carolina, J Ville, Tenn, Detroit, TB, SF and Oakland where the experience is that of throwing a lot of money away.

You go to a Tennessee, Notre dame, OSU, UF, FSU LSU game, there is no comparison....

As a matter of fact, each and every city that has BOTH college and pro teams except Indy, the college team outdraws by far, over the NFL team.

Having to have attended an institution of higher learning in order to root for said school is overrated.
Plenty of room for subway alums if you ID w/ a team for whatever reason.

Deano, did you also accuse the Patriots of having great football tradition? You gotta be KIDDING me.
A few ings in a few years does not make up for a lifetime of futility and fair-weather fans and non-sellout blackouts.

Dude, Boston fans are some of the best in sports. Give them credit.

I did leave off Seahawk and Bronco fans from the better fans in the league.

And your right, you don't have to be an alum of a school it ID with it, but nothing is sweeter than hearing your Fight Song when you are at a bar and that song...it resonates with you..You are always linked to the school you attended. You will always be a Lion and I will always be a Coug. That is sweet dude.

MMMMmmmmmm....Red Socks, Celtics, Bruins fans I GUESS.
Not Patriots, though. Don't even play in Boston, and the notion that they're a GREAT franchise with these great fans is revisionist history and ESPN (who leads the UNIVERSE in relocated Boston fan media members) is at the helm of that revision bus.

Spare me the geographical BS. The Jets and Giants don't play in NY.....what, you wanna call them the East Rutherford Jets? Please dude. There are a lot of teams that don't play in city proper.

The New England Patriots are a model sports franchise, like it or not, and should be emulated.

I just lost 37. I cut out beer for 4 months and drank scotch and water, no pop, skim milk and no junk food. Remarkably easy diet that worked.

Scotch takes about 2 weeks to get used to and then it's more than tolerable. I actually had to go back to beer because I was getting hammered and forgetting shit. Coke has to go...too much sugar. You'll never lose weight drinking that shit. Sprite Zero is actually really good. Try it.
