CT Chick checkin' in.....basement is a swamp....my cat is yelling at me because she can't walk on it. :(

This stuff is a "walk in the park", if you're from around here.....39 years and counting....you just let it do its thing, and then it's over...the sun actually started to come out on my way home from work. 8)

Sucks to be a BMW Dealership right now, right near where I work:

An ENTIRE FLEET of them IS NOW UNDER WATER.

Up here is New Hampshire there are roads closed all over the place. Had to leave work early. My boss called and said the only road out was starting to flood over and to get out now. Good thing I did or I would have been stranded for the night. It was rising fast. The road is now closed. But I'm home safe and sound where the flooding isn't bad at all. Now I have to see if I can make it in tomorrow.

Any body catch the Today show this morning? Funny as hell. They had a reporter doing her report from in a canoe in New Jersey and she's telling everyone that this is the only way to get around the flooded streets. While she was saying this, two guys go walking past in the water and it was only ankle deep. I was fucking rolling with laughter at this but then Matt Lauer let her have it! He told "Maybe it's me and I'm not there but it would seem to me that if you can walk around in ankle deep water you don't really need a canoe. Do you?!" I about pissed myself!

Are you guys overreacting? Not saying you are, but I checked on transportation issues today, and of Amtraks' 210 trains between Boston - NY- Wash DC, only 17 arrived 15 mins late. The rest were all early or OT. Just asking. Maybe Jestor can give us a Airline report. Then again, he is probably knee deep in pissed off customers right now.

today wasn't that bad. Yesterday the area I live in got 4 1/2 inches of rain. That's a lot of water.

I know. It's not the apocalypse but it's hard to get around with so many roads closed. Many NH roads run right along rivers and streams that are washing out roads left and right in some towns. Other towns no problem at all. Just another fine day in New England.

For what it's worth, I've been in NJ since Friday and was lucky to get here - all the flights in/out were delayed due to this on again /off again storm. It was much clearer today but many of the roads are still closed, flooded, etc. This is a far cry from what I'm accustomed to in LA (70 degrees and sunny all the time.) There was a break on Saturday thank god, so I drive into NYC to see Hugo sing with Evolution (big shout out to the Hugo fans here - KILLER show and the band treated me like gold). But I've been sick ever since. Frigging storms man...
