Very strong words. Any idea when this was recorded?
A young man was killed in Houston last week during a dice game. He was winning, the shooter got mad. During a prayer vigil today, a minister from the Nation of Islam (I normally don't agree with them) said that the responsibility to help these young men realize there was more to life than dice games, drugs, guns, etc. was on the families/community - not the government. This is true. Unfortunately, I am seeing less and less families taking responsibility for raising their children to HAVE responsibility. I hope things like this poem can affect change.
Thanks for sharing the link, Nora.
