I'd like to give that guy the heel of my hand right to his forehead. Just shut up, already.

This is a toughie...so many, especially listening to the Bob & Tom Show in the mornings, they have some GREAT comedians on. My favorites are:

Todd Yohn-just his facial expressions make me laugh til I cry.

Jeff Dunham-the ventriloquist with Peanut and the Jalepeno on a steeeck

Rodney Carrington-sick man, but VERY VERY funny!

Old school:

Eddie Murphy

Chevy Chase-I think he is a genius

Bill Cosby will always be up right up there too

I like the Diceman. Once you get past the never ending stream of profanity there is some brilliant comedy there.

George Carlin, Sam Kinison, Pryor.

Cosby is an absolute waste of space to me.

Jim Gaffigan has been my fave for several years now, though Steve Martin's early material will always be some of the all time greatest. I remember when I was REAL young (about 7 or so?) my parents got "Let's Get Small" from Columbia Records club, and I listened to it nonstop. I remember asking my mom what Steve meant by getting his "cock shortened."

Kim, that's cool you knew Dane coming up like that. I am a big fan of Patrice's and Bill Burr's, mostly from Opie and Anthony. Did you ever meet Jim Norton? It's true that comics are a surly bunch offstage. That's what led Bobcat Goldthwait to make "Shakes the Clown," those scenes with the clowns hanging out in the bar miserable every night were based on Bobcat coming up in the Boston comedy scene 25 years ago!

I think the same of George Carlin. I've seen him twice and you think I would have learned from the first time...he's HORRIBLE!

Ironic...flippin through stations tonight and Dane was hosting an old SNL...weird!
