Holy Cow, NASCAR fans in here!!!

Postby Carlitto H@kk » Thu May 10, 2007 10:05 am

A report on Sirius Satellite Radio Wednesday indicated that Dale Junior
may announce that he and Martin Truex Jr. would drive next season for
JR Motorsports, the company owned by Junior with Hendricks Motorsports
providing the engines
.
(WOW! Jr would finally have a car with a solid engine!
He could actually win a race or 4 for once!))

DEI sources said Truex has a performance clause in his contract
that would enable him to leave at the end of the season.

Only one year remains on Budweiser's sponsorship of the No. 8 DEI car,
but industry sources say Budweiser would go wherever Earnhardt goes and
Crew chief Tony Eury Jr would also go with Earnhardt if he were to leave DEI.

Holy Shit!!!

You're not getting the whole picture if that's all you see going on. There's so much more than meets the eye! Strategy by each team alone keeps the mind very busy!

You don't understand. I live south of the Mason-Dixon line. That's ALL ANYONE EVER TALKS ABOUT. Anyway, the Indy car drivers have much bigger balls, although I don't begrudge the NASCAR guys, who are also lacking that "fear" gene most of us take for granted.

I don't watch NASCAR really. But I did just see Talladega Nights. Almost spit my beer out when Faithfully was played during the G rated sex scene in the bar.

I'm a NASCAR fan and have been fortunate to get to see it up close. There is so much more to it than going straight and turning left. There is quite a bit of strategy as well as skill involved. The very fact that these guys make it look easy is a testament to the skill required.

Dean, I feel it necessary to point out that I LIVE in North Carolina, but my family is from Boston and, well, Italy. If you ever call me a redneck again, I'll have Shatner kick your ass.

Ask the Andrettis, Fittipaldi, or any other driver who's been on both circuits which is more challenging. Indy racing is FAR more physically demanding...something like 25 IRL drivers have died in the past four years. To me, there is no comparison. But Deano, I'm just transplanted Eurotrash, so what do I know?

There is no reason to leave Dean. I am confident Aja will not find a reason to comment in every thread that involves a post from you.

when i was at the stones show at the hollywood bowl, i saw shatner wandering around the parking lot, looking for his car. i was so tempted to ask, "can't you just have scotty beam you up?"

never seen nascar live & in person, but i enjoy watching it on tv. i'm always impressed with what the pit crew can do in mere seconds.

Do I have to remind you AGAIN that those stupid fucks from the Southeast are who BUILT Nascar?

You Jimmie Johnson bandwagon fans make me want to puke!
