JOURNEY, art, Dagaz, and my supernature (weirdness)

Postby Wheels Of Fyre » Thu May 24, 2007 2:09 am

Art is subjective and open for interpretation to any given audience. So guess what? JOURNEY's music and art is open for interpretation, too.

How does JOURNEY resonate with their audience? On the grand scale which encompasses some very fundamental perceptions I suppose they're viewed as "a great rock band". On the more intimate, personal scale I think JOURNEY resonates in all kinds of intriguing ways.

I remember back in the day when parents thought JOURNEY was in league with Satan because of the occult symbols they used on their album covers. Lyrically and musically JOURNEY also has a knack for being "other-wordly" or perhaps supernatural.

Me? I've always had an interest in the occult, religion, and "weird" things so JOURNEY tends to resonate with me in those terms. So I contemplate the Dagaz rune and I tend to see how it relates or connects with JOURNEY symbology. Do I sit and meditate on this stuff? Absolutely not. It just so happens that my "eyes" and "ears" - my powers of perception are perhaps tuned into these things.

I posted this as an explanation of my Dagaz thread which clearly has escaped the perceptions of you mere mortals.
