Never saw any convoy, and if this is indeed true, what's the point of 'flattening' after the fact? Certainly don't see a threat if the so called WMDs are not in the country. Unaware of any footage of the Iraqi military training OBL's soldiers. From what I remember OBL was not a fan of Saddam Hussein's, but that is neither here nor there. On a day of rememberance it is unfortunate that the U.S. is in this losing situation. OBL may be in custody if our mitlitary wasn't spread so thin, but maybe Bush really doesn't have time to think about him, as he has said.

Bush has never had any intention of getting OBL. Their families have been friends and business associates for years. Bush was hoping to divert the attention of all the people in this country to Iraq and Sadaam as the bad guys so he could get off the hook for Bin Laden. Sadly, it seems to have worked for those who voted for the SOB in the first place. Hey, maybe there's a message there. :?:

This is laughable! The Bin Laden family is like the Smith family of the U.S., the name is everywhere and they are a huge construction and oil family. Osama is the gangly disaffected black sheep of the family who couldn't make it in the business. There are crazy people in every family. He's pathological, they've said the same.

What have we been doing in Afghanistan since 2001?! we are after the Taliban and Osama. aka UBL.... Maybe you should tell your statements to the troops over there that hide in caves and deal with the treacherous conditions day after day in search of this spider that their government isn't really looking for! Let's drop you in the state of Oregon and tell you to find someone and the rules are that you can't cross over any other border.

Coalition troops destroyed the Taliban army, there are still some factions of it floating around, they are being dealt with.

People, study your facts!!! The country was opressed! We kicked them to the curb and the Afghanis elected their own government. Women can now go to school there, seek other religions, live a more safe life. Bush would love to be able to turn over Osama for the world crimes he's responsible for.

This is an urban legend that has been going around the internet for several years now. Anyone who believes this is so blind in their hatred for Bush that they can't see straight.

You're wrong Dave. It's a fact and I didn't learn it on the internet, but there's no point in trying to tell you that. If you haven't seen Bush for what he is by now nothing I can say is going to pull the wool off you're eyes.

The very fact that so many otherwise reasonably intelligent people still support this man in his criminally corrupt misuse of the power of the Presidency is the surest sign of the pathetic and frightening condition this democracy is in.

No. Not wrong. Not by a long shot. You're the one who hates Bush with a passion and believes ALL the democratic talking points that liberals spill out of their garbage-filled mouths. On the other hand, I don't think Bush is all that great a President, either. However, I draw the line at hate-filled myrmadons that can't think for themselves and just parrot the things they've heard from Michael Moore, MoveOn.org, and the other conspiracy loons who seemingly have nothing better to do than try to come up with out-of-context statements, innuendos, and misrepresentations.

Here's a link from FactCheck.org that blows just one of these theories out of the water, the one that claims Bush allowed the Bin Laden family to leave the U.S. when all other flights were grounded... http://www.factcheck.org/article294.html

Of course, I know how much you hate facts, so you probably won't check this one out, either, even though it comes from a web site that's well known for being non-partisan.

BTW, here's an interesting quote from the FactCheck.org article about who actually authorized the Bin Laden family's flight out of the U.S....

And by the way, the man who gave approval for the flight wasn't Bush or even any of his close aides, it was former White House anti-terrorism chief Richard Clarke, now one of Bush's strongest critics.

Oh come on, Dave. The 911 Commission Report is all a bunch of Bush propaganda too. :D

I liked Rosie when she first started her talk show. Then she came out of the closet (like that was a shocker  ) and crawled up on that soapbox and I haven't been able to stomach her since. I couldn't care less what her sexual preference is. She would be no less nauseating and annoying if she was heterosexual.

That's just the thing. I'm all for someone being *for* something but I think when you start being so pushy it turns a lot of people off when otherwise they might agree with you or support your position, then maybe you need to rethink your tactics.

I just saw a news story saying that Rosie says she may never speak to Elizabeth Hasselbeck again....

Yeah, I'm sure that Elizabeth really cares at this point.

Dave,

You know almost nothing about what I really think or really feel about the political/economic/cultural situation in this country right now. You've catagorized and compartmentalized me as anti-Bush, which I most assuredly am, but in your case that also means I'm against everything you believe is right. If Bush represents all you think is right then you're right in your assessment of me and we really have nothing to discuss.

As much as I look forward to the departure of Bush, I more so look forward to the departure of our Bush-ass-kissing Prime Minister John Howard by October.

An election is due by then and the government trails the opposition by 20 points right now....looking good for everyone here that doesn't want to live in the 1960s with him!

That's a load of crap and you know it. I don't believe Bush is right on everything. Overall, I think the Bush presidency is disappointing. I disagree with him on spending, border security, some foreign policy (especially with Rice as Secretary of State), and several other issues that I either completely disagree with him on or think he could've done much better.

If Bush represents all you think is right then you're right in your assessment of me and we really have nothing to discuss.

I love how some people resort to this when their point is proven wrong. Couldn't you just admit that the whole Bush-doesn't-want-to-find-Bin Laden crap is just that?

Could be worse. He could be kissing liberal ass. Actually, last I checked, the approval ratings of those Democratic asses are actually lower than Bush's ass.

The United States is not a democracy. It is a republic.
