They're a good band, but you know a similar band that is starting to make a lot of noise (no pun intended) as far as getting "noticed" is Dragonforce. Melodic speed metal! You gotta love it!

That sure looks like these guys studied up and are following the formula they learned in rock 101, from riffs, style, sound, long hair and headbanging. Completely lacks in originality. Checked out some more of their songs and still could not find anything that hasnt been done a zillion times before, but can appreciate it for what it is. Kinda dig this one...

Unless we're talking about some kind of quirky, unlistenable bullcrap, there is NOTHING in rock music nowadays that is completely original. As far as Evergrey goes, though, the reason they are one of my new favorite bands is simply BECAUSE they are a bit different than the norm nowadays.

Keep in mind thogh that theyve been around for 10 years.
This bands 'magic' comes through at live shows. They are one of the best live bands Ive ever seen. Their live DVD captures that magic from the night they played at a Theater in Gothenburg, Sweden.
(theyre also very friendly and down to earth guys,,,)
