I can't remember who the two musicians were, one of them was Tommy Shaw? It was a cd of cover songs that had influenced them as musicians. Just wondering if anyone here had picked it up and whether it was worth the buy.

I think you're referring to the Shaw/Blades cover album. Most people like it, but I think it blows ass. Rock singers covering "Summer Breeze" and those two scumbags Simon and Garfunkle aint my cup of tea. Tommy and Jack should be embarrassed.

Of all the cover albums I've ever purchased or heard, the only one I like much at all is Rush's "Feedback". The rest suck to no end.

Hmm...Didn't think you'd like it. You're not a Rush fan are you?

I love Rush, not a fan of all of it, but quite a bit.

Cool...I personally prefer the "2112" through "Moving Pictures" era, especially "A Farewell to Kings", but I love all eras of the band. I used to hate their mid to late 80s stuff but I've grown to love albums like "Signals", "Power Windows", and "Hold Your Fire". Alex Lifeson is a very underrated player, in my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of his solos but he's a great rhythm player.

That song is the biggest disappointment on that album, IMO.

No shit. I almost throw the fucking thing out the window when it came out.

Slightly smart thing to do, to put it as a closer. Had they started the album with that turd, I wouldn't have bothered in listening to the rest.
