Bottom line

1) Augeri's voice probably cannot handle the vigors of touring with JOURNEY any longer, whether his voice has healed or not, which people have been saying it has for a month now. I also wonder why 11 months healed it when the usual 5-7 months off between summer tours didn't? I essentially think it was time a change was made. I am a big Augeri-era fan and love Tall Stories, but it was time. I have no idea how he was treated or if the band remains friendly....I've read nothing that indicates either way. Maybe they shouldn't have scheduled the tour with Leppard, but after it started it was too late to cancel.

2) I don't like how JSS was dealt with, but thats not what the issue is with me. The issue is they spoke proudly of a new direction, albeit Journeyesque on a NEW album coming off two very lively energy filled successful tours. They end that and hire a cover band singer. THAT is the issue.

3) As much as I beg Perry to return now, I do think it was the right decision to move on without him. They waited 12 years and now 11 more years later and he hasn't sang or toured. Journey has given me a chance to see them live when otherwise I wouldn't have had the opportunity. Its just too bad they didn't make a change after Frontiers when the problems began and we could have had a Journey all along and Perry would have likely done more solo stuff for us to enjoy.

4) I will give Jeremy a chance, and I will give the band a chance to make new music.

5) Anybody who has a shot at fronting Journey should take it....and anybody is lying who says they wouldn't if they had the ability and the opportunity.
