Thanks so much Wildfire. I enjoyed that interview. Steve was great as always.

I dug where Tom asked Ross how they fire someone. Ross talked about how 2 people have left (um he couldn't count even then!). Then he said Journey always tries to make it "comfortable fair & equitable". Ha ha ha.

So, when they refer to Journey changing their set list becasue of the "events of the day" what are they talking about? Was it Reagan's assasination atempt?

BTW- This is the best Tom Snyder interview ever!!!

I saw the Tubes for the first time on his show. Fee Waybill, Prairie Prince, etc. dressed in 80's wall street business suits singing Sushi Girl and Talk to Ya Later. I thought they were the coolest (loved Journey at the time as well).

I used to watch Tom Snyder many years ago...he was a bit abrasive & short with people, but he did have a sense of humor too. I still remember when he had Blossom Dearie on the show. Not sure if I had seen Journey then, but it sure is nice to see those clips. SP is so fine - oh, that silky voice & hair! :)

Sure,no problem. :) I'll add that to both DSB and WCN.

If I recall correctly, Journey had been planning on performing "Who's Cryin' Now" and "Dead or Alive" on the show (that's what they had rehearsed), and then Egypts President (Sadat) died on that day so the set list was altered.
