Humans Being, what a kick ass song. Sammy's voice is was it is on "shine on, shine on" part. He has got such a cool voice anyway, and it's as if that part of that song was written form him. They sang it on the '04 tour and it sounded so good.
Sometimes I will pull out my VH videos, the actual videos such as MYV used to play.. , and I will listen to 'How Do I Know When It's Love' just to hear Sammy nail that song. I know some people think this is a puss song, but I feel as far as vocally, it's one of the best Sammy era songs. My wife likes to watch it to see Sammy's crazy hair in that video. That was some pretty cool hair.. :P
I'm getting pumped. Cannot wait to see DLR with Eddie and son. Don't want to go to soon, let them get the kinks worked out, but don't want to go to late, in case it all goes to hell...  :D

Yeah, I wish Mikey was going to be there too. So glad I got to see him in '04. He did that for the fans, as he had to give up something to do that. While I am going to be missing Mikey for so many reasons, I am looking forward to seeing what Wolfy will do.

Oh yeah, they will be doing some solo DLR stuff, just like they did some Sammy solo stuff. I have seen Dave solo a few times over the years and Yankee Rose and Just Like Like Livin' In Paradise are excellent songs and great videos. Dave was so made for music videos. They will be doing one of these songs. Because Ed will be on the guitar this time, I want to hear Yankee Rose just to hear him do the opening.
Sorry man, not a Gary fan at all, plus, it's gotta' be Sammy on Humans Being..it's just gotta' be.

I wonder if Dave can talk Edward into doing "Relentless". The best Dave-sung song of all time...too bad it was a solo effort.

I don't know how much clout DLR has, but if they completely ignore the Sammy era tunes (which DLR will want to do), then they need to do another tour with Sammy next year. They really should have had a set with DLR and a set with Sammy. That would have been a huge success.

I completely expect them to ignore the Sammy era. I don't think DLR would sound good singing them anyway.

Please ignore Hagar songs. Had enough listen to them live, saw VHagar live 4 times, always enjoyed them but now it's time for the Mighty Van Halen songs. They have a setlist chock full of great songs to play, Light Up the Sky, Woman in Love, Take Your Whiskey Home, Unchained, Ain't Talkin Bout Love, Mean Streets, Sinners Swing, Loss of Control... so many great memories.
Now it's all about Van Halen, not about Sammy Hagar which was a fantastic singer and had a great time with the band. Please bring only Roth songs in the setlist

Bad part is...Michael Anthony isn't there to provide those classic harmonies...so I can see it sounding like shit. Don't get me wrong...I'd love to see the CLASSIC VH...but this ain't it.

Yeah, I'd be shocked if they don't take this approach. I don't think they will even play any DLR solo stuff. Strictly stuff from VH through 1984.

But I hope they throw in Me Wise Magic and/or Can't Get This Stuff No More.

I am so confident that they will give the fans at least on DLR song. I think they know the fans will want to hear/see Eddie doing at least one DLR song, and I am pretty sure Dave has insisted on at least one of his songs. I think the fans would be pretty unhappy to at least not get one DLR song.
I also expect to hear some of those old VH Classic songs, even some obscure ones.

I could easily live without hearing a DLR solo tune. I love Eat 'Em and Smile, and some songs off of his other CDs, but how anyone could walk out unhappy after hearing Ed and Dave rip through their classic VH songs is beyond me.

Just a Gigolo and California Girls need to be left home.

Well, maybe the word 'unhappy' was the wrong word to use for you. All I am going off of is reading internet fans comments. I have checked out 10 of the main VH/DLR forums online. The one's that seem to have the die hard classic VH fans that post daily. The general comments have been that they would like to hear Dave/Ed do at least one Dave song.
That's where that came from. It was just a comment, no big deal.
