We both lost some people we were close to that day, but it is obviously hardest on her. We spend each 9/11 away from the TV, newspapers, etc. in hopes of forgetting about it and doing something fun for a few hours - the LA County Fair, Disneyland, etc. Today we went fishing in Redondo Beach. I can usually keep her distracted until around 6 or 7PM, at which time she finally starts returning all of her voicemails, watching some TV and pretty much trying not to cry once the kids are in bed.

Today was tough, a bit touch and go but here it is 7:00, and we are back to that sad reality. It's a bitch, and as the time passes the the world seems to get even harder to understand. Each year I pray that the next anniversary will be a little bit easier on us, that people will learn to get along and be more tolerant. One day maybe it will be. But not today.

At least they are getting along better on this board, and that's a good start. :D

Thanks JSS for the song, I haven't heard it yet but I will try to check it out once she's asleep. All my best to everyone and their well wishes, E

My deepest sympathies Eric. Thank God you were brought into their lives. :)
