I like Baltimore, but I've mosly just seen the touristy stuff. Seeing Edgar Allen Poe's house was pretty cool, and the harbor area's nice. We could sit by the water outside our hotel and hear a concert at an amphitheater right across from us.

That would be Pier 6 Inner Harbor Concert Pavilion. I've seen Journey, Boston, and many others there. 8)

Yep, that's the place. I saw Hall and Oates there the first time I was in Baltimore, and the second time we sat on the benches outside the hotel and listened to a Jimmy Buffet concert.

I've seen Hall and Oates twice at that venue.

Yeah, I feel like that a lot...heading North - cooler, cleaner air, blue skies...Deb's glorious land would be nice - what a beautiful photo....
Tori Amos has a song I like called, "cars & guitars" and the line: "...still a thought says what if I keep on drivin', keep on drivin'" .....

I'll tell you exactly why it's "heaven on earth." There is no sign of any inner city trash. Throw up a few taco stands, some projects, a couple of drive bys and some graffitti on the side of the mountains and it would be just like Chicago, L.A, New York, Detroit or any one of a number of our lovely democratic strongholds. Carry on.

Which is exactly why those of us who live in places that are heaven on earth don't venture to live in cities like that.
Democratic strongholds... . So true. Around here having people know you're a liberal is worse than kicking puppies.

Fortunately in my corner of the state, the only concern is the availability of muzzleloaders and rifles for huntin'. 8)

My cousin sent me a postcard from there in the early 80's
and aside from the season scenery change it looked the same
as your pic.
Thanks for the reply Deb, would love to see "Out West" someday.

I always look forward to holidays off work because I can watch The Price Is Right and Judge Judy. LOL All my vacation days the last few years seem to have been occupied with out of town concerts.

Yep, thats the Canadian Rockies. On a clear day, I can see them in the distance from my office window. LOL that's why I don't turn around much, I get easily unfocussed enough, without the view.

I feel like this every day...
Been working at the same place for like 24 years....

I'd drive to Kauai. I know there ain't no bridge, but I'd try it anyway! Some days, you just can't face going into work...
Kauai is my favorite spot on earth.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

AMEN!!!! I live smack-dab in the middle of a John Denver song. About 5 miles between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah River.

Donna, that is one of the most beautiful spots on earth. Second best is San diego Harbor and the ocean.
