Even though YouTube isn't always 'clear' - you can still get an idea of the voice, can't you? After a few seconds you can tell a good singer from a bad one. I was just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. I'd need to hear a CD and/or watch him live to really decide.
I suppose if he does get the gig and they do some recordings then maybe once they've pro-tooled or whatever they do with their gadgets and stuff, maybe we'll like what we hear?
He is a parrot,can do 2 or 3 songs from different bands,he has to read the words half the time,no way he could do the dozen ,plus,no fucking way. You must be stoned
Some clips are better than others - but there's a version of DSB from Arnel which is far better than any performance I've heard by Augeri or JSS, I reckon. There was a reading on the 'goosebump-o-meter' for me - which is the first reading there's been since TBF was released. And this was from some crappy live You Tube clip - where most singers sound absolurtely horrible - even supposedly legendary ones.
Anyway - my optimism might prove to be unfounded and he still might not get the gig anyway. But as you say...it's only fair to reserve judgement until he's spent some time in the band.
Exactly. I can't dissect a guy from You Tube clips alone.
They are like a photo. Some people are very photogenic. Some aren't but maybe the photo doesn't do them justice, if you see what I mean?
Anyway, I'm getting bored with all this speculation. Has he got the damn job or what?????
