Anyone catch the news story out of Wisconsin last night? Guy is a town favorite at Halloween. Decks his house out to the hilt. Some person from a neighboring town drove past his house and saw a noose with a scarecrow in it in his yard and filed a complaint with the police. The police came over and told him to remove it. The guy was so upset that he took down ALL of the decorations. He placed instead a sign apologizing to the children but stating that he would no longer decorate the outside of his home for any holiday.

This to me is an absolute fucking disgrace! Thanks to the Rev. Fat Al Sharpton and his race baiting, separatist bullshit this has become a totally ridiculous situation.

This guy loves the holidays and decking out his place for the children and he got FUCKED!!!!!!!!

Can we please get Rev. Al elected President so he can be assassinated? This is the dickwad that is ruining our country.

What a dumbass, whoever he is. I would've refused to take it down and force the police to show me where I was violating any laws.

Some people are way too sensitive and just looking for a reason to cry injustice. Mostly because they suck at life. If I were that guy, I would've gone all Clark Griswold and put up as much shit as I could find and proceeded to use the noose on that moron who complained about it. Hmmff...

I know of a guy who has much more money than sense. He made national news for decorating his entire estate with over a million Christmas lights each year. Really tasteless looking stuff, and it got bigger and bigger each year. They had to leave the lights strung all over the place year-round as I guess it was too much trouble to set them back up. Anyway, it caused tremendous traffic problems on that street, and many problems with the neighbors, all of whom complained. He literally bought the houses on each side of him just to win the dispute. I guess the city finally asked him to scale back, because now he does the decent thing and decorates a park or something instead.

How long will it be before the Clint Eastwood classic Hang 'em High is declared racially unacceptable and banned?

I've read and heard some people asking what is causing this rash of nooses that have been reported. I could tell them, but political correctness doesn't allow the truth. The irony of it is that political correctness is the root of the problem.

There's always got to be some fucktard that can't just shut their fucking pie hole. they never have any thought of the joy and excitement that this brings to everyone else, just out for themselves.

That would be me as well Dave.
We have loads of folks here that spend Kah-Tons on their
hydro bills each night so that kids and festive lovers alike
can enjoy all their efforts.
I would be spitting fire if anyone complained round here.

Spent much time in Appalachia around the holidays? Tacky is good taste, man! :)

Which reminds me, time to go put my good shoes on before I go to the Wal-Marts for my 40 of Old Milwaukee and come back home to prank call the telemarketers.

Now, who wants a glass of tang? ...Ovaltine? :P

I agree but you're supposed to have the freedom to do so as long as it's not a danger to the community.

I think it's fun when entire neighborhoods compete with each other. There are several in Baltimore that do that each Christmas. But when it's just one house that goes way overboard, it's tacky IMO. But it's not worth complaining about.

Even worse is when someone decorates way too early or leaves them up way after the holiday is over.

So now we can't have horror decorations on Halloween in this freakin' country without some jackass whining and crying about it? I have to worry about some dick calling the cops if I want to hang a ghost in my tree? Hey - I happen to own a black cat... are they going to come and take her away from me if they see her sitting in my window?

If a scarecrow with a noose is bad, they would have loved my former neighbor who, one year a long time ago, built a coffin, painted it black, dressed up like Dracula, and jumped out at the trick-or-treaters. I thought it was hilarious but he'd probably be arrested for that these days.

Yeah, I used to date a girl whose family left red, white and blue lights up all year. That way, they could use them for Christmas and the 4th of July.

The ones who do that in our neighborhood are also typically the ones that have lawns overgrown with weeds.

Actually, I've had problems with weeds in my yard this year, too. Unfortunately, my back yard looks halfway decent but I can't get the weeds to stop growing in the front. It's ticking me off.

I don't have year-round decorations on my house, though.
