Train lead singer gone solo

Pat Monahan has a new solo CD. He's going to be on the CBS Morning show in a few minutes. I think he's one of the better of the more recent frontmen.

I liked Train right off, enjoyed Pat's voice and how
most of their songs had a positive feel.
My Father also enjoyed them muchly and we were
rarely ear to ear when it came to today's music.
Thanks for letting us know about this ohsherrie.

He just sang a song called Her Eyes from his new CD. It wasn't all that great. His voice sounds good and I liked the lyrics of the song, but not the sound of it as a whole. He's going to do another one in a few minutes. I hope it's better.

OK, listening to the second song now and I'm getting the same feeling as from the first. Good vocals, good lyrics, but the style of the music just doesn't do anything for me.

So is it a whole different style than Train?
I was busy making Perogies and didn't get a chance to watch.

Does this mean Train is no more? Their earlier hits were great examples of the type of good "pop" the 90s/early 00s had to offer... didn't care much for the "Calling All You Angels" era though.

No he said he was still with Train and was just doing this to be able to sing some other music that didn't quite fit with Train. I wish his luck, but I prefer the Train music.
