Rock on!!! WISH I WOULD HAVE SEEN THEM! Still planning to if they ever come nearby again. You know, Carlsen has been compared w/Perry from time to time, but his voice is rougher.

Here's one of my favorite Bloodgood videos:

There's a bunch of clips from that event and they're all awesome. Paul's still got a lot left in the tank. Like his voice or not, the dude can bring it.

Halford must be pushing 60, and when I saw them in 2006, he sure did still have the pipes. His style of vocals is different from the crooner approach though, and while he doesn't jump around much range-wise in terms of single songs, the catalog itself is pretty amazing, from his lower almost baritone voice to the full fledged screaming in "Painkiller" or "Exciter," both which were performed to a "T" at the show I saw.

Check out this dude doing "Exciter" in a Brazilian Priest tribute band called Hell Patrol. Unbelievable.

Saw "Mickey Thomas" about 3 wks. ago and he sounds amazing! If you closed your eyes you wouldn't even know what decade you were in. Effortlesly hits those high note like most people breathe. Scary for 58 yr. old man.
