Neal need money to pay for the next tour himself or something? I just can't see huge venues lining up for this go round.

I have that 'LIGHTS" guitar on my myspace slide show. Caption sez, "I want it!". It has been at bananas for a while.

I asked him to give it to me one time last year. he obviously declined. sigh.......

Oh good god. 30 grand for a Neal guitar? That seems extreme.

Okay, he's good, yeah, but come on, he's not fucking Elvis.
And I'd say the same thing if we were talking about Elvis. For 30k I better be able to drive it.
I also better NOT have to pick afro hairs out of it.

The guitar looks to be a (quite) bastardized mid 60s slab fender strat. I'm sure I've read about it's exact lineage somewhere, but I can't remember. However, just looking at the featureset of that guitar...(slab rosewood fingerboard, olympic white, 21 frets, pre-cbs headstock, etc)...it's definitely a mid-early 60s strat. Olympic White was offered as a custom color by fender throughout the 60s, but the headstock is a dead giveaway that it's prior to 65-66...

Having said all of that....drilling the floyd nut holes into the neck, mounting the floyd rose on the body, the resulting humbucker route underneath pickguard....would have all *severely* reuined the resale value of that guitar. If the guitar didn't belong to frobag...The guitar would *not* sell for much.

However, considering it belonged to such a prick, I suspect that's why Alan is having as much trouble as he has, selling that guitar.

ANy idiot that pays more than 3k for that PRS is smoking crack. The original selling is smoking crack asking for 19k. I suspect, when that auction is done, the guitar will remain unsold.....what fucking idiot would spend HALF that is beyond me...

If I had $30,000 to spend, I'd be in Europe for the JSS shows and have some left over! My priorities are straight! :D
