This track is sadly not on it, and for awhile was only available on MR-X. There is a long-defunct website at www.vox-tempus.com that is due to be updated any day now...E

Is Dan the vocalist - he has a great, clear, crisp voice! (Okay, the band was good, too  )

I'll keep an eye out for it!!!!!! I don't remember seeing this on MR-X!

I really want to hear this but I seem to get stuck on myspace pages a lot. Hopefully it will load up sometime.

It's odd that the track is slow in loading. Maybe you should try refresing the page. It loads right away for me.

This song was featured on MR-X around 2 years ago I guess (does that sound right?)...some time around Soul Sirkus I guess. There was a lot of Journey content on MR-X back then. (Remember when MR.com was a celebration of Journey? Those were the golden years eh?) At one point there was an entire page of Journey tribute tunes that were not on the compilation mentioned on this thread. Many of the tribute tracks on MR-X were recorded for a Brazilain label that was putting together a Journey tribute album. Vox Tempus did a song, 7 Months did Ask the Lonely, I know Jeff did a track with Talisman & Takara did a passable version of Any Way You Want It with Michael Flatters on vocals. Sadly the label just...disappeared one day...at least I got paid up front.

Back then there were always rumors of a Journey tribute record here or there, and I kept in regular touch with JSS about us putting together a Journey track. Sadly these compilations all fizzled, except for the metal version mentioned here which just materialized one day. I suggested to Andrew at one point that he releaes his own Journey tribute CD with these abandoned tracks, but they ultimately found a home on MR-X. What do you say Andrew, maybe the time has finally come...?

I've tried refreshing.  It's just something weird with my laptop and myspace. I'll go try it on the desktop. Thanks.

Edit: Works fine on the desktop. The vocalist is really good.

I hated that metal tribute CD. Not much else I can say.

Thanks man. It's good to be here. It's great to have a place like MR that we can all hang out & get to know one another. MR.com has now become a lifestyle. :)

Have they changed some of the songs on this? I found a review here on mr.com: http://www.melodicrock.com/reviews/journey-tribute.p3

They mention Alex Michell singing "Any Way You Want It", but here it's Jack Russell (who does a great job -- that song also appears on the 2-disc set of Great White's "Recover Live"). I really like the Kip Winger version of "Send Her My Love". I'm a huge Kelly Hanson fan, but I completely disagree with the person that thought that this version of "Separate Ways" might be better than the original.

Good eye! Mine has a different album jacket. Looks like they reworked it and renamed it... maybe for a Canadian market?
