Semi-OT: For Churchgoers

Postby Rip Rokken » Mon Nov 19, 2007 1:26 am

I saw a sign last week for a place called "The JOURNEY Church" and got a kick out of it. I should have taken a picture. :P There seem to be several:

the name of my Sunday School class at church is 'Journey with Friends". the first time we went there, the greeters assigned us to the class in room whatever it was. the hubster and I walk up to the door and see the sign, "Journey with Friends". he just rolls his eyes. hehehehehehe it was very entertaining. of course they all know about me now and they all know about Jeff Scott Soto, too.

funnier still- they asked me to lead a few songs before class in the near future. and play my guitar.

You know, come to think of it, there was a youth group at a church down the street from me that called their group "Journey" -- they had a sign with a logo on the door that reminded me of a Journey album cover. It think it was of a Saturn-like planet with a ring around it, or maybe it was a rocket racing around and tracing a ring... can't remember.

We like you that way.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

You know what'd cap this thread off perfect? A post from the person that has an avatar with Perry as a saint.
