The fact is, Perry will return to the studio if he stops attending the alcoholic anonymous and meetings out there. For crying out loud PERRY, you've been sober for the past 18 years, give it a rest. You're freaking 60 years old, your fans are waiting and dying to hear from you.

I fail to see what one has to do with the other. You can't quit AA, if you're an alcoholic, you'll always be one. It never goes away. Thus, you need that constant support.

Seems like some one is just sour
Sad but true it's a lifelong battle
Least it's better than having the IQ of a lemon
Bitter from being reemed hollow in the head
They will end up dumb & juiceless

Absolutely. I'm proud that he got help if he needed it, and not only that, he's obviously stayed on track if the post made by tanga is correct.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Um doesnt the "anonymous" part of Alcoholic Anonymous mean anything anymore? Sheesh. This kinda shit ain't cool.

Oh yeah & Perry's only 58. Let's not cheat him of a couple of yrs. They get precious as a person gets older.

Yeah, I was going to say that, but if he's been sober for 18 years, he's probably proud of that fact, as he should be. THAT takes character. He just probably doesn't want anyone knowing where he attends.

Shit happens to everyone

The way I see it
It's a win win situation

If he's not
then good for him
If he is then
Good for him for
taking control over it

No shame
No pride
Would we be down on him
for having diabetes?

Just a matter of survival
Like breathing
Just he has to
add another step...

15 Songs I would love to hear Steve Perry cover in a "Stroll down memory lane" type of project!

1. Cupid (Sam Cooke)
2. Me and Mrs. Jones (Billy Paul)
3. Into the Night (Benny Mardonis)
4. Too busy thinking about my baby (Marvin Gaye)
5. Rock your Baby (George McCrae)
6. How Long? (Ace)
7. She's Gone (Hall and Oates)
8. There goes my Baby (The Drifters)
9. Summertime (Billy Stewart)
10. Rosana (Toto)
11. Dock of the Bay (Otis Redding)
12. Tracks of my Tears (The Miracles)
13. Uptight (everything is alright) (Stevie Wonder)
14. Don't let the Sun go down on Me (Elton John)15. The Lion Sleeps Tonight (The Tokens)

Wasn't the Elton John tune titled "Don't Let Your Son Go Down on Me" ? 8)

how sad, why post anything like this?

That is the reason why no one will ever hear from him.
Addictions are a touchy subject and anyone who has a conscious knows when NOT to bring them up. :x
Yeah we nitpick him to death, but most of us know when to draw the line.
