It was anonymous in that locknload did not identify himself as someone "in the know", not that the user name itself was "Anonymous".

If you guys are talking about the post J mentioned when the blog was being discussed he named the poster and it wasn't "locknload".

If that isn't what you are referring to, sorry!

I don't think I read the post you guys are referring to, but after reading the posts that are available and talking to a few people in the know, I am convinced it was NS.

That's the post that I was referring to. I didn't think it was locknload either. So, neither Andrew nor T-bone has confirmed it as Neal and we're back to guessing about it. I still maintain that the poster has too many smarts to have been Neal.

The other thing that makes me think it isn't Neal is that the posts are fairly intelligent...  I don't hink Neal can speak that well.

I just read all of them along with all responses, and I think there could be a good chance it was him. Apparently, Andrew might have thought so also, if you read his post here: http://forums.melodicrock.com/phpBB/vie ... 36#3900936

Sounds like he was calling him out a bit...

As far as the intelligence goes, locknload's posts are not grammatical and are loaded with spelling and syntax errors. That would certainly fit Mr. Asswipe.

I totally see Andrew calling him out. The "hours and hours of work" on the interviews "all for nothing, irrelevant..." Plus all of the band being excited, energized like back in the '80's. "Was it a lie?" All that stuff is totally insinuatory around the fact that Andrew pretty much knew it was someone in the band.

I agree that there are many errors, but if had had been Neal, there would have been more. I don't see Andrew's post as a calling out, but one of frustration.

One of the first "leaks" of the Arnel business was the Sourceror troll at The Journey (Bash) Forums, who vociferiously promoted Arnel as the new vocalist from Journey, and claimed to speak Tagalog. He was also trying to open up old threadwars on "tapegate" and trying to stir up the Augerri fans against the anti-Augerri fans. He seemed to have a particular bug up his arse against Matthew, and he mixed it up against RedJoePa, and then just disappeared.

Interesting. If this is who I think it is, someone who knows him just told me he got in a bad car accident. I need to check that's the same person.

No, I think he was, just not brazenly. Of course, he didn't go, "Hey, Neal, cut the crap -- I know it's you." It seemed obvious to me that Andrew realized who was making the post, and directed a thinly veiled (yet very detailed) response to this person. Think about it... Andrew's posts are quite often very short, and to write something in such detail to a "newbie" isn't his style -- it was like uncorking some stuff that's been festering inside, so I think he knew it was Neal. The whole tone of the post doesn't fit if directed at a newbie, but he was obviously trying to be respectful to a degree as well.

It actually is an invitation for response, and I figure if he wants to comment he'll see the post and reply. Not important enough to me to PM him, though, as it's just general discussion. But the focus is really on whether the poster was or was not Neal, and I just mentioned Andrew's post as an example. Andrew?

The post that talked about "why jeremey didn't get the job" was made by someone called "RPG63". (I think.)
And if you look through the member list, you'll find that this person no longer exists.

I thought Locknload was Neal. I PM ed him to say that, and that I knew it was him, etc etc. He never posted again. That is admittance by silence. JSS and I disagree on who actually posted as LnL, but I am right and JSS is wrong :P

I can tell you all Neal does read this forum.

HA! But from whose rocket, I wonder? And maybe Remote Fired Vocalist (aka, the "Singer Missile"), launched by remote control. :P Quick and without warning, but its actual range is debatable. :P

Only when using 2 or more different usernames. Sometimes posters don't identify their true selves as they want to remain off the radar.
