Ok....this is mainly for you Texans fans (Michelle...I don't think there are any others on here.). Why are they trying to make a rivalry with the Cowboys? Don't we have enough problems with having the rest of our division PLUS having a couple of rivalries with the AFC with the Dolphins and the Steelers? If ANYTHING...I think y'all should concentrate on the Titans. After all...they took the original Houston team. Just a thought. ;-)
ANYHOO...just curious. If anyone else can answer this...please feel free to do so. :-)

Well, I think part of it has to do with the general rivalry between the 2 cities. Plus, I think Bob McNair kind of set things up with the Texans to have more games with the Cowboys than the Oilers did. I mean, their very first game was against the Cowboys, and how did that one come out?? (J/K - you know I love ya!) Anyway, there is a rivalry with the Titans for the very reasons you stated. Also, games against Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay usually rev the fans up pretty good, too. The team is young, so I think there are still more rivalries to grow and develop. Those are just the ones I see now. Just my 2 cents.

P.S. They are ahead of Cleveland right now. Yea!!!

Ok...I can accept that. After all....do you see the intensity of the Cowboys/Redskins rivalry that ya did in the 70's/80's? It's more the Eagles for us now. Don't get me wrong...I still don't like 'em...but I can stand the 'Skins fans more that I can the Eagles. I'm not a Texans fan...but I don't HATE 'em.
Don't worry though...the Texans will gain some BIG rivalries in the AFC...ESPECIALLY in the south. I see the Jags being one in the next few years for some reason. Maybe it's because they're a rather young team as well.

ONE MORE THING, Baby....GO CLEVELAND.

Ahem. My football knowledge is limited and I essentially go where "my" quarterback happens to be and at the moment I am a Browns fan due to them signing Brady Quinn, so if you all are able to see the game I am totally jealous.

I'm stuck with my NFL radio pass and gametracker.

Which has nothing to do with Liam's question, but I just felt the need to say:

GO BROWNS! :D :D :D

We've always had a natural rivalry with the team in Houston. The governors cup game in preseason. That's all they get!
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

 I just gotta ruffle Michelle's feathers during this game. They're fighting for the W/C race right now...but honestly...I don't care who wins.

THAT was one weird situation! I've never seen a football cross over and then bounce back into the field. I was like, "what the hell"?

LOL Niggy!!! I don't hate Cleveland, particularly, just want to see the Texans be 6-5. I think I would faint if that happened. The fact that they are .500 right now is amazing!

No, fuck Baltimore and their anemic offense. There is no luck when the ball goes over the crossbar.

Brady Quinn is a qb? Funny, I haven't seen that Notre Dame loser play a single second yet this year.

I know. ;) So much for .500.... Speaking of the W/C, I heard one of our sports reporters mention the Texans and the playoffs in the same sentence I did a triple take. Couldn't even hope for that...
