Screw all these candidates. We've already had an actor in the White House - why can't we have a singer?

Fortunately Perry has finally returned my call and we're working on a campaign plan.
He's authorized me to share the preliminary outline. This has just been faxed to me:

Hillary will not make it into the WhiteHouse. The country will come to it's senses at the last minute.

exactly...
my 2 cents are that if IRAQ war and troop levels are still at 100,000 men and women in June, any GOP person can for get it. However, if the surge keeps working and by APRIL the troop level drops to 40,000.. then the countries mood will swing back to BUSH and GOP...and whammy maybe John McCain gets in??? Thats a HUGE IF... and least likely--only issue here is that the media does not want to use the term victory ever in this war---until a democrat gets in the white house.

I sure hope someone like Bloomberg comes in to the race because I can't see myself voting for any of the Republicans or Democrats....it'll be the same-old. Yes, some may be slightly better than others...but the big picture schematic, it's all the same...why? Lobby money.

We seriously need someone who is not back by lobby money, and Bloomberg has enough personal wealth to call the shots with the best interest for the country, not the lobby groups.

Completely false.

A combination of the U.S. troop surge into Iraq, improvements in the size and quality of Iraqi Security Forces and a growing local rejection of al-Qaida has produced a five-month decline in the number of coalition troops killed in action and a four-month decline in overall violence in Iraq, the No. 2 U.S. ground commander said Thursday.

Army Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, who spoke with Pentagon reporters Thursday via satellite link from Iraq, said the downward trend in violence represented “the longest continuous decline in attacks on record,” and illustrates how the addition of five U.S. brigade combat teams and support forces earlier this year have improved security in Iraq.

U.S. officials say the violence trends are the key indicator of improved security and a significant sign of progress toward the official U.S. goal of a “unified, democratic Iraq that can govern, defend and sustain itself.”

The number of overall attacks in October reported by Odierno is the lowest since sectarian violence spiked sharply upward in February 2006 after the bombing of the Samarra mosque, a holy Shi’ite shrine.

In the final week of October 2006, he said, violence-torn Anbar province suffered 303 overall attacks. “That number has been reduced to less than 30 this past week,” Odierno said.

In Baghdad, where most of the surge forces were sent, the total of 143 attacks during the last week of October 2006 fell to less than 100 attacks in the same week this year.

Odierno noted that the four-month decline in overall violence covers a period that includes this year’s Muslim celebration of Ramadan. During the previous three years, Odierno said, enemy activity increased significantly during Ramadan, the dates of which change from year to year in the standard Western calendar.

Odierno defined “attacks” as attacks against Iraqi infrastructure and government facilities; detonated roadside bombs; sniper, ambush, grenade and other small arms attacks; rocket and mortar attacks; and “found and cleared” roadside bombs.

The number of roadside bomb explosions — the No. 1 killer of U.S. troops in Iraq — is at its lowest level since October 2004, Odierno said. The average daily rate of improvised explosive device explosions peaked at 63 per day across the country in late September 2006; in October 2007, the rate had fallen to 20.

I don't know about that. The same country voted GW in for a second term. I don't know if this country has any voting senses to come to at the last minute.

Barring a late entry by Gore... Hillary will win....

Bush can't even campaign for the Repubs.... cause it will only reinforce the negative image of the party.... the only way Repubs stand a chance is if Bush ends war in Iraq before election...

Swing vote wins elections... swing vote is middle-class voters who are pretty pissed right now about $3.50 gallon of gas... and fucked up economy.... and right now the swing vote is anti-Republican....

Yeah no kidding. I tell you, after seeing that dumbass get elected... twice!... it would not surprise me in the least to wake up one day with Mickey friggin' Mouse as president. Of course, he could probably run this place better than GWB, so hey, who not give ol' black ears a shot?

Wow. I can't believe you said that. He would be my pick as well but, unfortunately, he isn't going to be the nominee.
