I know I'm gonna get a lot of shit about this but, I've heard a hell of a lot worse by people who are trying to emulate Perry. At least Britney is just doing it her way, as bad as it is.

A few (5-6) woman singers are more about being a new Madonna. They sell sex rather than music, because their singing is cutsey music. They only last so long.
