Just posted another new song on Myspace!!!

Postby G.I.Jim » Mon Dec 17, 2007 1:29 pm

Hey everyone! For those who may be interested, I just posted a new version of my song "Long Night" on Myspace a this evening. It's another mid-tempo, melodic rocker. I'm still collaberating with a vocalist from Italy (Alex Mark Scott). He's got an amazing vocal range! We're just doing demos at the moment, and are getting ready to start shopping these songs to several record labels. I've got several more in the works...

I also have a new Christmas song that should be finished within the next few days. I've been trying to get it together for the last couple of weeks, but have just been slammed!!! I'll let you know as soon as it's ready.

Please feel free to check the songs out, and leave me feedback. These songs are demos (Like I said), and I am definitely up for constructive criticism! If you think anything should be changed on the songs, just let me know.

Thanks man! You're right about Bryan Adams. He's a hell of a talent! I've always wanted to cover some of his stuff in various rock bands, but it never happened. If I ever get another 80's band together, we'll DEFINITELY be playing some of those tunes!

I don't want to chew your noodle, but the song is great Jim. Nice mix.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

HaHa!!! I hope not!!! Thanks about the song. I'll be sending you another one real soon. Also, thanks for the Steve Perry demos. For some reason, I can't open the files. I'll email you when I get home...

The sound quality is very good. What types of computer hardware/software are you utilizing?

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate all the feedback! CalJams, I record the main parts of the song on my Motif ES keyboard, then dump it into a Korg16XD digital recorder. I then, add guitars (Keyboard that is), vocals, etc... I don't use any software whatsoever. On songs that have other vocalists, they either send me the Wav files and I load them into the recorder, or I send them the song and they handle it on their end. It's been working out pretty good, but unfortunately the vocalist (Alex) doesn't have the capability to record his vocals in stereo. We should be able to get this resolved in the next few weeks. Anyway, thanks for listening!
