"Chris Cornell [of Soundgarden] has gotta get back to screaming...
He's like the Steve Perry of Grunge"(!)

We saw that one last night... Was that supposed to be a compliment or not?? I wasn't that familiar with the guy they compared him to, so I wasn't sure. :wink:

Always thought that Chris Cornell has/had one of the greatest voices in rock...ever.

....until he butchered his vocal chords on a SNL performance. He had surgery, voice never really sounded the same since. I hope he doesn't start screaming too much anymore, I agree overall a killer voice.

Rightfully so.What an awesome singer...He was my absolute favorite in the 90s.God I loved his voice on Spoonman!

I happened to have that show on the other night & heard that comparison by the guy from the Rolling Stone mag. I understood it as a compliment to the voice - even 'tho I never heard of the song or the artist (he did sound nice on the solo ballad).
