No way. Hockey is half the weight; until the game is over and the sweat of a hockey jersey is twice that of football.

Let me preface my comments my saying because my hometown Bruins have been such an embarrassing franchise for sooooo many years, I haven't watched NHL hockey, regularly in several years. That said, I grew up never missing a Bruins game. For some reason, I always remembered the games in Buffalo against the Sabres as being games where the Canadian National Anthem (I love that damn song!) was always played. Obviously Buffalo is VERY close to Canada, so I just assumed that was the reason for it. Maybe someone from Buffalo can confirm this for me or tell me that I'm hallucinating.

Deb, almost felt scripted didn't it? The NHL could not have drawn it up any better for itself. 1-1 game, OT, power play, 4 on 3, shootout, face of league scores game winner. Incredible.

And folks, by comparison, that game was about average. Not a lot of hitting and scoring down due to weather.

I watched the last part of the game. You're right Deano, it's almost as if someone planned that ending! Certainly should win a few more sports fans over to hockey.

True, a little slower paced. But that was still a great game considering the conditions. Only thing that would have made it better would have been a US vs. a Canadian team. :D

Glad to see a fellow Sabres fan here. :D Hockey is so much better than the NFL. Hockey players are the most talented athletes on the planet and they can run circles around any player in the NFL.
